These tips are very compact and protect the tip of your walking poles as well as sensitive trails from bare tipped pole damage. They are suceptible to being pulled off in thick mud, in which case the small golf club shaped tip might be better, but I'd rather just have a few extra round tips on hand and use these as the more natural feeling pole assist.
Wish my shoes gripped as well as these!

Very pleased with the price, quality & look of these new "feet". My husband had liked the little foot shaped ones my poles had so I bought him these to replace his lost ones. I personally feel that the foot shape gives me a little extra stability going up or down on hills.
