Work great, sturdy and reusable - extends life of filters

Had these for a couple months so far and have been quite happy. I use one around the skimmer basket and another on the inline basket for the pool cleaner. Trivial to install. They catch dirt and pet hair that would otherwise clog the main filter.
One piece of advice that others have mentioned: Rather than try to clean the sock when wet, it is much easier to replace it with a dry one and then let the wet one dry out before cleaning. Alternating like this every week does the trick. So far I've used 4 of the 10 socks in the bag and see no reason to even start using the other 6. At this rate I figure the bag of 10 will last quite a while (a year?).

These work great. Can't believe how much gunk they catch. And this was like after 10 days. I'm going to order more now.
Update: These do work great but they can be dangerous. When I turned my 2 speed pump on high I didn't pay attention that the clogged sock doesn't allow water to flow freely or in other words keep up demand and burned out my $900 Pump yesterday. Expensive learning curve!

First time I have used these. We have a really bad pollen issue with our above ground pool. I put one of these on our skimmer basket and it collectes pollen very well.
It's easy enough to roll the pollen off of the sock to clear it. However I would not use these without monitoring them every 15 minutes or so. They filled with pollen that quick for me in zone 6 April 2017.
I think these would be great when pollen season is over to catch the fine particulate that your sand filter can not catch.

Don't know why this makes such a difference, but it does!!!

I was a little leery at first and wasn't sure this was going to fit right, but as soon as I turned the pump back on, it sucked the sock to the sides and had a perfect fit. I don't know why the "sock" makes that much difference, but it does! The top of our pool literally looks like glass, because it is so clean. Cleanup with the sock is super easy as well. I don't even remove it from the basket. I simply dump the debris and rinse it out with the water hose. I love the way the sock picks up the smaller debris and oils from of the top of the pool.
Excellent idea! A must have for in-ground pools!

Excellent! These socks fit like a well, like a sock! One of the most impressive things I like about them is that they catch the tiny pieces of stuff the basket can't! The result is the water looks much cleaner and inviting and I don't have to fight the mess in the basket!
