Bitter. I was unable to use it, even in a shake or juice. The thought of taking it 3 times a day as suggested was impossible. I read another review that totally solved my problem. He started he purchased #1 clear capsules and filled them with the powder. Problem solved and my varicose leg pain is GONE!

This is the most concentrated form of Horse Chestnut I've seen, and so it will go a long way. One thing I noticed is that it will congeal with moisture, so if it is left open in a humid environment this might present a problem. The ziplock on the package broke, so I transferred the powder to a large freezer bag. I was able to easily fill size 1 gel capsules, which will hold more than enough for a good dose, because of the high concentration of Aescin. As I mentioned, the powder sucks up moisture, so you may want to add a desiccant pack.

I found if you add it to tea, preferrably spicy tea. It cover the bitterness. Also mixed it with grapeseed oil and applied it to legs found that helps as well.
