Easy to install, good construction

Like many, I have not had much experience with rug pads. While preparing for the delivery of a new sofa, I rolled up the lr rug and the yellow mesh type rug pad underneath. There was yellow dust everywhere and yellow fibers stuck to the hardood floor. I ended up sweeping, swiffering, vacuuming, and washing the floor to remove all the junk. Not wanting to have to repeat all of that in the future, I needed to get a better alternative pad. This pad arrived rolled up, inside a sturdy cardboard box. It has two layers, one felt, one rubber and it was simple to unroll and flatten the few creases in it. It was also simple to adjust its position on the floor. We were able to lay the rug on top and adjust the positon without any problem. The width of the pad was just a tiny bit smaller than the stated width but I don't think that will be a problem. Until I have some reason to roll up the rug again I won't know how well the pad protected the floor but a two layer pad is certainly reason to hope for the best.

Just having a 1/4" pad has made a huge difference underneath our rug. We just had a few rubber grippers at the corners but mostly felt the floor through the rug. I just want to keep walking on it now, it's so cushy (and the non-slip rubber underneath keeps the rug in place). It was nice there were a variety of sizing options thru the seller so we were able to get pretty close to what we needed. So thank you!

The company's advertising is accurate. It was easy to install, including the ease to trim it down (my rug is a nonstandard size and I had to trim about 6 inches off the width or the pad). Great grip to the floor and no slipping between rug and pad. I got the thin pad because my rug is a low nap Karastan. A perfect match.

We used this for a 9x12 rug. Warning...it comes is a big box (think skinny christmas tree box) and is a bit heavy. The pad has a nice rubber coating on one side and soft on the other. It comes folded versus rolled but was easy to maneuver. I thought about getting a thicker pad but this was just enough to make our Surya rug feel plush. It had no odor when opened. Overall a great purchase.
