A Stylistic Solution for Stair Safety

As with everything, these stair treads arrived in a flash. (Thanks, Amazon!) The size was perfect for our stairs (which are fashioned just like the picture: white risers and stained-wood treads. I was hesitant at first, since I wasn't sure if the beige background would match our beige Berber carpet on the second floor; however, it matches perfectly. I know the double-sided sticky background will not hold long-term. It's an adhesive. On a surface that will collect dirt. So, we will eventually need to add either double-sided tape (made for carpet work) or carpet tacks to hold these in place. However, for now, they are staying put and offer such a great layer of safety for our family and our dog.
Buyers, however, should be aware of a surprise in the coloring. There is no mention of--nor do the pictures capture--an iridescent color in the pattern. At the right angle, it's almost like a gold linux thread was used (except it's most likely painted on). It's not sparkly, but it is shiny, and it is part of the branches, so you'll notice it. It doesn't bother us too much, but it was a surprise and could be considered a deterrent to some Buyers. However, for the price and the way these treads add a fun pop to our stairs and the safety it provides, we would buy these again in a heartbeat!

The word awesome comes to mind. We purchased a new home with an oak staircase like the one pictured in the ad. I knew I had movers who would be coming through plus we have two small dogs and I didn't want them to ruin the wood. I was looking for something elegant. These stair treads actually have a gold thread sheen to them making them lovelier than the picture. Very easy to install and re-position (I had to re-position a few to ensure they were aligned and I wanted to switch a couple from a pattern perspective). Only one day down and the next day received heavy traffic with movers. They have stayed in place ever since they were installed (over a month). I highly recommend this product. I would purchase them again. I am hoping I can find a 8' round entrance rug to compliment these treads.

***Stickiness: All you have to do is clean the back with a damp cloth & they will stick like new. This is described on the packaging.
We got them because our dog is aging and was afraid of slipping so would cry and not come down the steps. This completely solved the problem. Also, they are a good material. I sweep with them still in place. They have not become dirty in the few months we've had them. They do get bumped out of place at times. Then we clean them, restick them, and they are like new. The sticky material has not affected the wood stairs at all. I do not expect it would. The design is nice enough to be unobtrusive. No guest have asked about them, so they must fit in well. I highly recommend these.

I was a bit worried about purchasing these stair treads in case they would not stay in place.
I am very pleased that they are not moving around.
I bought the beige color which is very attractive.
Already have had people say how nice they are.
They went on the stairs very easily.
We have an older stair runner on our stairs to the basement which we are now thinking of repl
acing. Those were a nightmare to install and cost a fortune to attach securely with expensive rods.
The Soloom treads are much better and will be easier to keep clean. Very happy with this purchase.
I WISH THEY WOULD OFFER A RUNNER I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY 2 OR 3.

I was hesitant to purchase these based on the carpet treads I have seen in the past. However, upon opening the box (delivered in just 2 days) I discovered that they were actually nicer in person! They feel plush and have a very nicely finished edge. They give just the right amount of cushioning and "non-slippness" to the stairs without being too much. The fact that they stay in place as well as they do without glue is amazing. The color and pattern is much more vibrant than the photos depict in my opinion. But in a good way - there is metallic gold in the pattern - but it looks rich and warm and not tacky. In any case - I wasn't sure if I should spring for the extra $ to purchase these - but really glad I did.
