I bought this frame in 2011, and have moved it 5+ times since then, sometimes in one piece, and sometimes in many pieces. I honestly can't say enough good things about it. It ticks all the boxes for me: durability (even with all the moves, and being taken apart and put back together, all the screw holes are solid, and there are no creaks or shimmies), storage capacity (I was looking for a platform bed that I could store things under, and this is tall enough to do that without being so tall that you see the things you're storing under it), price (when I bought it was cheaper, AND was available through Prime, but even at the current price with shipping added it'd be worth it), easy construction (I've put this together by myself several times, and it has never taken me more than an hour), and looks (I really like the look of unfinished pine, but know it's not for everyone). I don't know if some of the lower ratings are from folks who have purchased it since the redesign, but for me this has been one of my best Amazon purchases ever.

Love, love, love. It is a sturdy platform bed. We have a king plus (ie. It has extra slats). It is beautiful and we plan to leave it unfinished. It was easy to put together. The "gap" in the middle of the bed is not felt, and it was part of the design in order to insert the center bolts. I think the design is ingenius. Everything was cut perfectly for easy assembly, and it took my husband and I about 45 min total. I love the slight imperfections (ex. knots, grain pattern) of natural wood. Our mattress is also from Amazon, a latex mattress from Fortnight Bedding. This combination of mattress and frame is the best sleep I have ever had in my life. My husband and I can finally sleep together again. Pleade excuse the messy picture, just wanted to show a real life image.

Nice bed that is clean and simple, just what we needed. My husband got it assembled without issue and it looks good. We were surprised that even the twin size has center support under the mattress via and additional lengthwise piece that holds the slats.

I really like this platform bed. It was easy to put together and seems very sturdy. I LOVED the efficient packing. Everything comes in 1 long box. I knew from the get-go that it was unfinished and actually did want that but now that I see the lightness of the wood, I think I'll want to put some kind of finish on it. That's not a problem with the frame, just another project for me. :-\

I ordered this platform frame to use with a Tuft-n-Needle twin mattress. I've had it for a month and am completely satisfied. I ordered the version with extra slats and the foam mattress does not sag between the slats. Perfect spacing. The twin frame DOES have the double center rail for strength. It is not raised higher than the side rails, you can't feel it through a mattress, and there is no mattress sagging through that middle slot. The wood quality is very good, but there are imperfections. I think it is fine overall, but don't order this if you want flawless wood and no knots. The slats fit into the frame rails very snugly so they won't creak or rattle. One of my slats was a couple millimeters too long. I could see that forcing it in place would damage the frame, so I sanded it down to size. This is not a super formal looking frame, but it is perfect for memory foam mattresses, very sturdy, and does the job well.
