Arrived on time, love the look. They were packaged well and arrived in good condition. I like them enough I will be ordering a second set. The only downfall is you can't purchase just plates or bowls, I really do not need 8 coffee cups but I do need the extra plates and bowls so I will order another set. There is no reason to take any stars away since the product looks as advertised, feels sturdy, arrived on time and in good condition.

Everything was fine until I put these dishes in the dishwasher for the first time to wash off any chemicals that could have come from the manufacturing process. Upon pulling out the dishes, I noticed the side edging looked tarnished. Who knows how many wash cycles I'll get from this set before the paint wears off.

I love the matte black and the shape of the plates. The white edges are more of a tan color though but they still look great. I was a bit nervous reading the other reviews that is end up with some broken pieces but everything was all in 1 piece when I opened the box to unpack eveything.

This dish set came used even though it was advertised as new, and I also paid for a "new" set. There was chips on my bowls, and they did not seem very clean. Also there was a fragment of ceramic stuck under the black paint, like a grain of sand or something of that nature, that is glazed underneath so it will never come off. Imagine how annoying that is when hand washing dishes"” it always seems like it's a piece of food. Other than the chips that which already there when I first initially bought them- the dish set is very pleasing to the eye. I do like the sophisticated look & finish to them.

The dishes are pretty but a couple of the plates and saucers are flawed. The black color comes up on the edge in some areas instead of it being taupe as it should be and 2 saucers actually have flaws that looks as if it occurred during the making of the dish. The plates were used for the first time today and after they were washed I noticed there is some discoloration on one of them. I'm not certain if it was from setting one plate on top of the other when they were being washed or it is from the fork but I am disappointed it happened. The dishes are very attractive except for the above mentioned. I just hope the taupe side remains without discoloration as time goes by. I love the shapes of all of them and especially the bowls and coffee mugs.
