Worked will for fixing old key with broken buttons
BurtBNovember 6, 2017
The buttons on my Sante Fe key had worn and disintegrated. There were videos on YouTube on how to use one of these to swap the key, remove the internal transponder chip, and the main circuit board and install them in this new housing.

But I found a much easier way to fix this in my case. You can carefully pop out the buttons and the silver ring, and then pop out the black plastic piece that is under the rubber buttons.

Carefully pop the rubber button piece onto this black plastic piece. Then on your original key, pop out the old rubber button piece and silver trim piece. Then carefully pop out the black plastic piece.

Finally carefully push in the silver trim to your old key and then carefully press the new rubber button piece and black plastic piece into your old key.

That was MUCH easier than having to cut out the transponder chip, and swapping over the cut key for the uncut key on the new housing.
BAD DEAL

Bad deal. . Brought it to the dealer and was told that it did not have the internal part so it was worthless.

Good quality. Still doing well after 2 months of use. Bought for 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe.
What's not to like about that
Amazon CustomerJune 25, 2017
With this replacement shell and you-tube directions I was able to save myself several hundred dollars with less than an hours work. What's not to like about that? It did take a few days for the parts to get broken in so that the key would flip out without hesitation but was not a problem even than and now it works just like the one I had when it was new.
