MUCH BETTER!!! I took my 3 Pro to 2500 feet and eventually out of sight and it came back.
Popped on this bad boy and made it to 6500 feet.

It's just okay. I don't really see any measurable improvement in range. The frustrating part is that they don't fit very tight around the antennas and the smallest bump will dislodge the range booster from the top of the antenna.

THEY ACTUALLY WORK.
with my phantom 4, I can now easily go over 3000 feet or 914 meters. without any frame lags or anything. But just remember that your result matters on where you are and what kind of signal disturbances you have.

Don't let anyone fool you, there's a considerable difference in range using this, it does however force you to aim the gold parts at whichever direction the drone is in.
