BARRY E. SCHELLJuly 28, 2018
I PURCHASED THREE OR FOUR OF THESE THINSULATE COVERS FOR MY OUT SIDE TAPS BUT THEY WERE FULL OF WATER AFTER I REMOVED THEM. I TRIED SQUEEZING THE WATER OUT BUT IT DIDN'T COME OUT. THE BAGS BECOME INFLATED OVER THE WINTER.
I USE THE BAGS ON TAPS WHICH I NO LONGER WANT TO USE AND I WILL KEEP THEM ON UNTIL THEY FALL APART.
I WILL NOT PURCHASE THEM AGAIN AS A STYROFOAM CUP TAPED OVER THE TAP WILL WORK AS WELL. N SCHELL.
Too small.

While these did work, my pipes didn't freeze during a few days of just below freezing weather, they are TINY. I purchased these because my local hardware stores were out of stock. They are about two inches smaller than the version I got from the hardware store. This is a problem because If your spigot sticks out even a little bit past "normal" these will not be able to reach the side of your house. Thus, part of the pipe you were trying to leave covered is left exposed. Kinda defeating the whole reason you're using them.

In the photo the blue, smaller one is the product listed here. The bottom black cover is the one from the local hardware store.
So far, so good

I live in Alabama so it doesn't get as cold here as way up north, but just in the last two weeks we've had lows in the single digits. These covers did their job protecting my outside faucets. They're far easier to use than the rigid foam covers I've used in the past. I'll let reviewers who live hundreds of miles north of here tell you how these covers work in temperatures below zero. I hope it never gets that cold here!
Thinsulate insulation should do the job
CoomakerDecember 10, 2017
I have used this type of faucet cover in the past and they have worked well to protect the faucets at temperatures in the
low to mid-20's. These are similar in design but use Thinsulate (one of the best insulators) and an easy to close Velcro closure. I would give the five stars except that so far the temperature has not been low enough for me to judge their effectiveness.
Fake item sent
Cat MomDecember 8, 2017
I received a fake item. There was no Thinsulate tag and the product felt cheap and flimsy. All Thinsulate products come with a brand name tag. Do not let them fool you.
