This is a GREAT pillow. I'm a large male, side sleeper, who uses a CPAP machine. Looking for a pillow with both loft, firmness, and comfort. Unlike the review where someone stacked 9.5 lbs (weight of average head) of books on the pillow to show how it didn't maintain it's loft, my head is not a stack of books, and is supported very well with this pillow. The loft height was perfect for me (although you can take filler out to lower it) and has not decreased over the 2 weeks I've used it. The pillow is very cool. I used to sweat all the time, and haven't once with this pillow. The "case" is very soft to the touch; by yourself an extra because you are not supposed to put a standard case on this pillow. OH ... and no discernible smell.

I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 5 STARS HAD THE PILLOW HAD A COOL FEEL TO IT. I HAD TO REORDER A DIFFERENT BRAND TO GET THAT. THE LANGUAGE OF USING COOLING GEL INFUSED FILLING INSIDE THE PILLOW IS NOT THE SAME AS "COOL TO THE TOUCH". THE BRAND I HAD BEFORE (NO LONGER AVAILABLE) THE OUTSIDE COVER ALWAYS FELT ABOUT 10 DEGREES COOLER THAN ROOM TEMPERATURE. OTHER THAN NOT MEETING MY EXPECTATIONS, IT IS A VERY NICE, NICELY PADDED PILLOW. THE LOFT WAS FINE FOR ME AS A SIDE SLEEPER. THE OUTSIDE COVER IS SO COMFY, YOU WILL WANT TO JUST HUG IT AT NIGHT.

I bought the basic Coop Home pillow because it came recommended for side sleepers and no matter how I added or took away fill it just didn't work right. I checked their website and saw the Eden pillow which is gusseted (only the cover though, the pillow inside is standard envelope construction.) This pillow has less fill and it's a different material from their standard pillow. After sleeping on it for a number of weeks, it is very comfortable and adequately supports my head and neck. I felt at first it might need a little more fill, but unlike the standard pillow and despite the fact it is $20 more, it didn't come with extra fill. It is approximately $20 for a pound or two of fill and in the end I decided I didn't need it. I highly recommend this pillow for side sleepers over the standard Coop Home pillow. I know from buying and returning my previous one that it is easy to return it if it doesn't work out. Before first use, follow the directions and put it in a cool dryer to expand the fill. I found it almost impossible to even fluff the fill doing it by hand.

I purchased two Eden Pillows from this seller. One came with a darker color fiberfill, which is very steady and i loved it. But the other one is very puffy, which i hated it. I am not sure why the exact same model can come with different fiberfill. maybe one of them is not with the original fiberfill.

I'm a picky pillow person with neck and back problems. I've tried most of the pillows on the market and have at least 20 pillows bagged and stuffed in closets. Someone recommended this pillow to me and I was amazed that I slept better the first night than I had in years. You don't have the normal adjustment period with this pillow because it's just perfect the first night you sleep on it.
It does have the normal odor that a new memory foam anything has but after airing it quickly goes away. I plan on buying a second one in King size because I bought the queen thinking to save a few dollars if it didn't work out for me.
