Needs a newer better version

This stands design definitely beats many others my restaurant has tried, but still has a few design flaws to tackle. We purchased two a few months ago.
What we like
sticks to its surface so it isn't too wobbly
Ipad is always charged and I no longer have to worry about a charger or anyone disconnecting it for their own use.
I can swing it around and have a customer sign the screen with not so much effort
Has two different methods for sticking to your surface (stickiness and a screw)
Clean design
What we dislike
the mounting surface does not allow space for cables, for this of us with marble and no holes, not even the sticky one.
its a task all on its own to get the screen out of the stand in order to turn it off at night.
the card swipe has a hardware design deficiency where it sits slightly open and vulnerable. (Slight opening convincing me it will not last very long... on both)
Otherwise, if you have a problem keeping you charger connected to your iPad due to customers or slick employees this is definitely a solution for you.

This just makes your transactions so much more professional. We don't normally do a large number of transactions. A tablet and the little square insert to run a card works fine. But it always seemed awkward, and sometimes you had to fumble with it. With the Square stand, that all goes away. It's easy to operate. Customers have an easier time "signing". It just feels so much more professional. From a volume standpoint, it probably wasn't really necessary. From a professionalism standpoint, buying this was a brilliant decision.

So I like the stand and it would get a 5 star review, but I'm not exactly sure that I got a brand new item or not. The product came in the most amazing package, would remind you of Apple...but on the front of the stand frame around the ipad there are tiny scratches, it's not smooth like you'd expect something brand new to be. Also the swipe part that actually runs the card through, the plastic is ill fitting. You can squeeze the back wall of this part and the plastic is bulging out at least 1mm or two and you can see it's not sitting flush with the rest of the stand...The seams should be spot on like they are with the rest of the stand...but they're not. Would love to exchange it and give another stand a try, maybe I just got a funky one?

I have installed the Square POS systems and the users have absolutely loved it. I've seen small pen and paper locations move to vigorously checking metrics and sell through stats. System is easy to use and set up.
This stand is nice. Includes adhesive and screw mounts, power cord, USB port adaptor, the stand, an EMV/RFID reader, and base for the reader. $160 is a pretty good deal when the EMV reader and base are $50 and $30 alone.
