I have tried many products to prevent a throw rug over an existing rug from moving without success, However, this pad works perfectly. Even with a desk chair moved over it, it stays pretty secure. I may have to adjust it every now and then, but nothing compared to what I had to do with other products. It is lightly tacky to hold both rugs together. I am so happy I found this product.

This works very well for our needs. It's under a 5x7 area rug on top of carpet. The area rug mostly stays in place and does not bunch up at all. The rug shifts slightly, maybe an inch or so, over a period of a couple of weeks and I just move it back into place. Adjusting the area rug slightly every couple of weeks is not a problem for me compared to the frustration with other pads that required the rug to be put back in place daily because it shifted so much.

My rugs still like to move around on the carpet a little but maybe only 10% of what they previously did. The rugs were a tripping hazard before and now they are much safer to walk on. I love my rugs, have new carpet and want to continue to use them to protect the life of the new carpet so these non-slip rug pads have satisfied my needs.

The are really good carpet on carpet non-slip pads. My only issue is that after you have them for a while (and it happens to all of these type of pads), they get dirt on them and don't grip as well. You'll have to take it off and rinse/wash it by hand, let it dry and put it back in place.

This product worked perfectly for us - which I partly attribute to meticulously following the instructions in the review by Joseph G Malinskyon on May 14, 2013. We used this on a 9X12 oriental which sits over wall to wall berber carpeting. For years we could not figure out how that oriental with a heavy bed and two legs of a heavy dresser on it still managed to creep! But this pad solved the problem. We put it on about six months ago and the rug hasn't slipped a millimeter. BUY THIS PRODUCT AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!
