the ONLY Cone that should EVER be USED

Our kitty had abdominal surgery and required a cone and it was not an easy go for him. The vet's office gave him a cheap paper collar that had no peripheral vision, which freaked him out and he would get stuck on the corner of a wall and try to move and not understand why when medicated. We then tried ZenPet ProCone Pet E-Collar for Dogs and Cats and it was an improvement because it allowed some peripheral vision due to the slits being alternatively see through; however, the cone was made of a hard material and was too big to fit nicely around my 16.2 lbs kitty even in a small size.
The SunGrrow was the best purchase for our kitty. The material is microfiber and allows for easy cleaning. The picture is unclear in the advertisement, but the collar can actually be turned forward like a traditional cone collar or it can be pushed vertically so that the pet has what look's like a lion's mane around its neck with no ability to get to its surgical site no matter where it is. The cone is very flexible and allows the pet the ability to maneuver easily and see fully his/her peripheral vision. The cone allowed our kitty the ability to eat and drink easily from the food and water bowls he was used to, which were a standing one for food and a water bowl on the ground with no difficulties. The other two collars made it impossible for him to eat and drink from. He was limited in his motions and was trying to use the cones as a scoop. We tried other alternative bowls when using those other collars to help him eat and drink more easily, but it was a struggle. This collar is really the best and quality of life changing! I highly recommend this collar for any kitty or puppy owner who has to use a collar cone. It is fully adjustable in size due to its velcro enclosure. We always kept it rather loose and it still stayed on well. Our cat actually learned to escape the paper cone!

I overnighted the product because my dog was that miserable with the cone. This is a great solution for small dogs post abdominal/inguinal surgery. She was not able to pull it off, but she honestly did not really try. I think this is due to the fact that it was much more favorable after having the hard cone on.

I'm glad others are having good luck with this, but it did not work for my dog. I have an 8-lb. Havanese with a 10-inch neck circumference, so I ordered the size recommended. The circumference of the whole collar was quite a bit smaller than I anticipated, judging from the photos. I could see immediately that she would be able to get around it. She was able to get to her stitches (from spaying), so I was constantly having to pull her head away from them. A few minutes of trying to keep her from licking her stitches was exhausting. The plastic e-collar is back on, and will stay for the next week until stitches are removed. If this is returnable, it is going back.

My cat has been dealing with a terrible eye pressure problem and the vet wanted to ensure he could not scratch/rub his eye so recommended a cone. I was so pleased to find this wonderful alternative to a hard, plastic cone. It is soft, pliable, but firm enough to stop him from rubbing his eye. The velcro swatches are adjustable and by having three, you can adjust it to fit your cat (I have a full grown male). You can also flip it up and forward or down and my cat actually likes this now that the weather has gotten cooler as he acts almost like it's a personal shoulder/chest blanket and he snuggles down and goes right to sleep.

This is SO much better than a plastic cone! We originally purchased a plastic cone for my cat who was licking his wounds and it was hard to watch. My cat was struggling to maneuver, couldnt eat or drink and was appearing depressed with the heavy plastic cone. With this cushion soft cone my cat is able to sleep comfortably. It's bendable so they can still get their own food and fit in their cat litter while still being unable to lick their wounds. It's lightweight and visibly more comfortable for my cat. I don't know how anyone can do a hard plastic cone when these are available. I am so happy to see my cat comfortable again while helping him to heal from his wounds!
