Streamiong at startrek speeds

Excellent and it is approved by Century Link. It's the modem they use if you have Prism TV and it prevents you from having to connect a 5GHZ router to your existing modem and it was the same price as a 5ghz router.
Works great on my Centurylink VDSL2 line

The router/modem works great. The frequent service drops that I had been getting for the past several months with my old centurylink C1000z have completely gone away.

Made the hard decision to upgrade to this approved model and so far am very pleased both by the effortless setup with CenturyLink and with the performance. Had been experiencing the need to reset my previous router and experiencing slow downloads on streaming. My speed test results have not changed but appears to have quicker web page accessing and so far no major issues with downloading streaming even with a 3 mhz speed test result. Plus plenty of 2.4 and 5 ghz wireless signal strength(s). Pleased, just hope it be reliable.
We use it for Facetime and now we have near perfect stability. Probably a lot of people in apartments ...

We had to get this because it has 5 ghz wifi. Our apartment building was constantly swamped when we tried to use 2.4 ghz. We use it for Facetime and now we have near perfect stability. Probably a lot of people in apartments are having this same issue. The 5 ghz band has a lot more channels [50 ?] and since the range is shorter [like 75 ft] there is no chance of interference. The 2.4 ghz supposedly has 16 channels but not really; there is overlapping of the signals and the actual number is less that can operate at the same time. Today's routers are more powerful and in an apartment complex there is not enough bandwidth.

Easy to setup although I did need to contact Centurylink for help. It took about 30 minutes to setup. I have had it working for over one month with no issues. All my devices connected easily with none being dropped.
