The material is so soft and easily stretches over the car seat, while still remaining thick enough to protect the baby from the weather. We got this for the winter season in Utah and it will be perfect! It's great to peep through the top to check on the baby, keeps people from trying to open the cover to see the baby. The zipper opening is perfect to get the baby in and out of. My husband was skeptical when I purchased it but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and we put it on the car seat. He's a believer now. We have an Eddie Bauer car seat and it fits just fine. Snaps seem sturdy and overall it seems to be good quality.
EVERYONE WITH A BABY IN AN INFANT SEAT NEEDS THIS!

THIS IS A GODSEND! Its super stretchy and super easy to put on. I've been asked by numerous mamas where I got it from. I wish I had this with my first, but so glad I did for the second! All baby car seat covers should be made with these features. The fabric is soft...almost plush-like. You have complete control over how much light enters baby's space, the options are endless. No stranger hands touching on your baby! The net I didn't have much use for, but I appreciated having that option. This product is just wonderful. I wish I could use it longer, but ever since my boy hit about 6 months his feet weren't going to allow it and he likes to see what's going on, etc. But this is hands down recommended for newborns!
Snaps failed on 2nd use!

Unfortunately this product failed on the 2nd use; one of the snaps which secures it to the car seat handle got detached which is really too bad as I was starting to really like this cover...fabric is good quality and nice and soft and the zip down open is super handy...I had also been looking foward to using the bug net soon.
The fabric seems a bit thick (on one hand this probably has an insulating effect keeping heat in when cold outside and heat out when it's too hot outside but I worry about fabric breathability. I also live in a rainy climate (Seattle) and it seems that the cover isn't rain repellant or even resistant. This means it's too thick for hot weather and not repellant enough to endure a truly rainy day.
I may try sending this back, if I can. I bought it a few weeks before baby was born but didn't use it until last week (and baby is 7 weeks)...so kinda doubt they'll return or replace it. Boo!
I will test the heat/water resistance to see if I should seek a replacement or return it instead.
Will post an update after.

Definitely keeps Baby warm! I was shocked at how much heat it keeps inside the carrier. The material is super soft and stretchy. I was concerned at how easily I would be able to fit my arm through the opening since that's how I, along with most others, carry the car seat. But because the material is so stretchy and there are 2 snaps on each side, I just leave one snap open to allow the cover to slide down one side of the handle a bit and my arm slides in very easily.
LOVE this and excited to use it!

My son is due in February and we are fairly active. Thus I needed an infant seat cover warmer than the muslin ones you see in store (those ARE great in the summer though).
I decided to try this one out. It is SUPER easy to set up, and while I worry about the stretchy part wearing out, it is great. I love the pattern, the material is soft and WARM. The sippers worked great and it provides easy access to my baby when needed. The mosquito net is a plus!
Everything tucks right back into the attached pouch for easy portability. No large folded blankets like the other heavy ones! I highly recommend and am planning to buy one as a shower gift for a friend due around the same time.
