It does what it says but some things to take into account. These aren't really space savers in your cabinets simply when collapsed still around 1" thick and they don't nest like others so they site on top of each other which takes up space. They seam to hold moisture more than regular containers do when storing hot food even with the center pulg pulled up and don't dry out fast. Any sweating will build up and make your food soggy but i guess they all have this problem just much less degree. For backpack and such they will save space when empty but unless its a liquid your transporting a sandwich bag or foil wrap would save more. I do think they will out last the cheap food storage containers which do break down over time but with these they do have plastic rims for strengths which is why not oven safe i bet. They do look better in the cabinets than regular plastic storage containers nested or not but that is only advantage i see in these over others.

Melted in my dishwasher and oven!!! These are NOT made out of silicone!!! 100% food grade silicone should withstand heat from the dishwasher and be able to be used to bake in the toaster oven. This company claims that the material is food grade silicone, and this is a lie. Here are the pictures of my melted containers. The first two are from the toaster oven (on keep warm), and the third photo shows the damage from the dishwasher. I'm not sure what other materials are used in these containers, but it must be plastic, so I'm not sure how they are claiming to be BPA free as well. They are the perfect size, so it's really a bummer, but I'm returning them right now!

These are cool, but I don't love them. They are a little flimsy.. so if you carry them while fully extended there is a possibility you'll accidentally compact it and spill your food. Mostly what I don't like is that after their first dishwasher run they got a little bowed, so now they don't snap closed easily! 2.5 stars

My roommate and I purchased the Kuuk Collapsible food containers because we live in an NYC apartment, and our kitchen storage is very limited. These containers are great because they collapse easy, and they clean up nicely. They are also great because when you take them to work, they take up NO space in my bag! My only recommendation is that I wouldn't let food sit in them for a long time in your fridge (like, you know when you cook something and then forget about it for several weeks--we've all been there). In conclusion, I WILL be buying more when it's time to upgrade the rest of my food containers
