Easy to set up, extremely quiet!

Bought this NAS to use as a file server for all of my photos including thousands of RAW files. Despite not being an IT expert I had no problem upgrading the RAM, installing the drives and setting up the NAS all within an hour. The entire setup procedure was very intuitive, and using the Fing app for android made finding the assigned IP of the NAS no problem! Once the IP was identified it was as simple as going to that address using a web browser, setting up the admin account, setting up the RAID array and updating firmware then I could begin uploading files to it. What surprised me was how quiet it is - with general office noise I can't even hear it running!
There may be easier, more user-friendly devices out there but for the price I'm glad I went with the Terramaster 4-bay NAS and RAM upgrade!

After I used up all of the storage of my 2TB NAS, I decided to move-up, and get something with a redundancy drive. I decided on the Noontec-TerraMaster F2-420 NAS Server 2-Bay + 2 WD Red Pro 6TB 3.5-Inch SATA III 7200rpm. After the drives were installed, it took less than 40 minutes to set up, and the unit was good to go. My home office is small, so I was concerned about the noise and the heat, after a couple of weeks, I am happy to report that the unit was fairly quiet; even when the fan and the drives were running at full speed.
I am using the paid version of Comodo backup to back up my home network. After 1 full backup, and several incremental backups, all data was there. So far so good and I am happy with the performance of this unit.
