Excellent quality 3 keys included

I saw a lot of reviews about this not including 3 keys so I was surprised to get the 3 keys and everything included was perfect but I was surprised and a bit disappointed that it was for a larger bore hole than my average knob I had so I had to enlarge mine but it was not complicated and I didn't need to order anything to make the adjustment
If you want better than a Schlage/Kwickset but not a $300 "high security" product.

I had to replace my front door lock because after 9 years in the house it was getting finicky to open especially as some of the keys were copies of copies of copies made for a couple bucks at the local hardware store.

I honestly think the likelihood of someone trying to pick our deadbolt is close to zero, but I spend way too much time watching LockPickingLawyer and Bosnian Bill on Youtube so I wanted something a little better than what I was going to find in the hardware section at Walmart.

Installation is no different than any other deadbolt and it has adjustable stand-off for the bolt depending on the hole placement in your door. I will caution you that duplicate keys may not be available locally. I had to order more online, but your lock will come with what looks like a credit card with a 13 digit alphanumeric code that any authorized dealer/manufacturer can use to make more without ever needing to handle the originals.

One other plus, the two sides of the key are a rotation of each-other so you can never fumble putting it in wrong, even in the dark. Imagine trying to put your house key in upside-down and having it work.
More security and added deterrent in an affordable lock.

This lock is much more secure than the fancy keypad lock we had that was not only easy to pick or bump, its chunky design made it easy to wrench off the door. I was home one day just a month ago when I heard someone messing with my front door lock and realized later after watching a YouTube video on Ring attempted break-ins, this intruder was using a bump key. Bump keys rely on cylinders that drop when they hit it with something like a small hammer or tool. Our old lock was easily bumped and it's predecessor of the same design had been broken, possibly by the burglar who stole some jewelry a couple of years back who had essentially wrenched the lock loose with either a screwdriver or small crow bar. This lock is heavy duty and without any light weight or loose covers. It looks like it will be difficult to get a screwdriver underneath it. It only takes a second or two to bump most of the locks on the residential market. This key is a bump & pick proof key - it has a square exterior with the key mechanism inside. So I think it would be extremely hard to bump. The keys have to be ordered online from the manufacturers website in our area. It's doubtful a burglar would be dragging around a bump key for this particular lock as it is not very common. As burglars are looking for an easy and quick way in, once they realize this lock is remotely more difficult, they will hopefully move along.
Good knowing that extra keys aren't floating around bc keys can't be copied at Home Depot

Wanted to replace my Schlage/Emtek deadbolts with something 'safer'. This set comes with (3) special keys that can't be duplicated at your local hardware store. You have to send in the keycode to the manufacturer or a special locksmith to get additional keys cut. This gives us a peace of mind that no extra keys are made from guests that we lend our keys to. Installation is like your typical deadbolt. The keys are a bit longer than normal and after installation of the the deadbolt- the key inserts horizontally vs. vertically. Not an issue, but I thought that I would mention it. I'd buy more of these locks if I needed them.
Great Lock

So I bought this to replace a older deadbolt and it was a easy replacement. I haven't seen this mentioned in the other reviews. It is important that you understand. This only comes with 2 keys. Also these keys are not able to be copied at your local hardware store. You have to find a locksmith that can make copies or order them from the company at 15.00 a key and a 25.00 standard shipping charge
