Bought it for a portable art table for my wife. She loves it! The size is perfect for most chairs, recliners, etc.

I read a lot of bad reviews on a lot of brands of bamboo desks like this one, so I chose the one that seemed to at least not have that many bad reviews.

Mine arrived in good shape. Smoothly finished, no splinters, and the legs are smooth and okay on the blankets. Book stand, wire stand stop, drawer, leg screws, and book ledge all work fine. Book ledge pushed easily into place and has stayed put. Drawer is able to hold a regular pen stored diagonally and a few cough drops or things of that nature. It stays closed. It has a magnet catch which helps. It's well fitted and opens and closes nicely. Leg adjusting screws are tight and stay in position. There are a couple of circular notches in the legs which helps the screw bite in to the wood to keep from sliding.

Magnets are not strong enough to hold tilting stand shut when moving. This doesn't bother me much. It opens easily and adjusts to several angles. The wire stand works well.

The legs have little metal pins or locks that are supposed to lock the legs in the open position, but the pins are too short to do the job at all. It doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the desk though. Just have to keep in mind the legs don't lock into place. Once it is set in place the legs stay put.

Desk height is fine for me. Several inches of clearance so I can move my legs without upsetting the tray.

It's a good width and doesn't take over the bed. My husband can rest next to me without being crowded.

It's light enough that I can move it to the side myself when I want to sleep.

The bamboo seems sturdy and has a nice finish and is a pretty color.

I would recommend this one, if you are going to get one of the many bamboo bed desks out there. It has the same minor problems with lid magnets and leg latches but otherwise I'm quite happy with it. It's making life a lot easier for me and the price point is fair. Would recommend.

Ordered 2 of them and they arrived same time. One desk had a dowel missing from the shelf that sits on the adjustable side. THe other desk had a slight flaw in that the pin used to hold the legs in place had been screwed in just slightly off, which caused part of it to rub against the leg when it is being raised/lowered. I'm not sure how serious that is but can't help but wonder if long term could damage the leg. Other than that they seem fine and we will be using them a lot.

I bought this desk to work while sitting on the couch. i'm a graphic designer so most work is online and I need to change up my seating arrangement sometimes. This desk is perfect! I didn't have to assemble, no weird chemical smell lol, and I love the drawer which is perfect for writing utensils. The right side is perfect for a mouse. AND it's great for art! The flat immobile but makes it perfect to place paints. It even came with an easel-like stopper AND a good quality sketchbook, which I wasn't expecting, so it was a nice surprise ðŸ'‚🧡 Just in time for inktober.

Note: The ONLY thing I'd complain about is the legs. I love that they are adjustable but the adjustable height is not always completely sturdy. And one side of the metal locks does not fit in the hole, so that leg won't lock all the way (view second image). But it hasn't been much of an issue so far.

This came pre-assembled. It is overall decent. The Adjustable flip top is easy to knock out of place. Note: if you are on the larger size, it might not fit the most comfortable on your lap.

The main issue is that like others have stated, it was missing a dowel. If this has been on a few reviews, you have to wonder about the quality control. I, luckily can fashion me a dowel to fix it to save the hassle of trying to get the part or returning.

It is decent for the price, but just expect some small flaws.
