Bought this to replace an 6 month old Bemis seat that broke because it had plastic feet instead of rubber which caused it to slide off the side of the bowl and snap.
Installing this seat was a breeze. The most difficult part was satisfying my OCD that it was in fact evenly centered on the bowl even though I checked it 100 times. The quick release on this works perfectly. The slow close (which we had on the previous seat as well) works perfectly. The chrome decorative bolt covers are a nice touch and make the seat look extra fancy (I like to feel fancy when I go #2). This is FAR more comfortable than the previous seat we had, which means I get to sit here even longer while my wife chases our two kids around beyond the locked door (thanks Bath Royale!). The one thing we couldn't do with the old seat was sit on top while it was closed because not only would it slide off the bowl but the lid was so thin that it buckled inward when sat upon. I'll have to let the wife know I'll need a few more hours in here to test out the lid and report back with what I find.

Ordinarily, I don't take the time to review things on Amazon because, well, it's just stuff, and who takes the time to read or write these things? But, this toilet seat is a cut above the rest. It has a locking mechanism, activated simply by pushing a button, that allows you to remove it so you can clean the entire surface without having to unbolt the whole seat. All of it is well made and withstands my large frame without breaking. So, if you want a high-quality seat that will allow you to clean your toilet with ease, this is the right one. One final thought. This is my second one. The first one, which works just fine, didn't have a metal guiderail in the grooves of one piece. The second one did. I wondered about this and realized that they had improved upon their product. The guiderails reduce wear against the plastic--the metal won't give the way that plastic will. They added this extra piece without raising the price. I like this company enough to take the time to write this.

The lid moves. I've re-read the instructions, reinstalled it a few times, and tightened everything up. Still moves.
When you sit on the lid when it's closed (which I do when I bathe my daughter) you can feel the center of the lid slightly depress, probably because it's plastic. I read other reviews that said it didn't do that, but it does it for us. I'm an average build 5'8 woman, so it doesn't take much.
I would return this seat but I neglected to keep the packing materials, so now I will have to buy a new toilet seat because this one isn't doing the job. I hope I can find one that removes as easily as this one for cleaning, because that's my favorite feature.

I absolutely love this toilet seat because it's easy to clean & it stays cleaner than the standard seat. They fixed many of the issues that standard seats have like the tabs where it bolts on that no matter how much you clean it it never seems clean. The soft close lid & seat are my favorite. I live in a condo with paper thin walls, there's no need for my neighbor to know every time I use the bathroom. I also like that it's plastic since it's easier to clean and it's well made it won't break like my standard seat which was falling apart. I found it slightly difficult to get it lined up properly with the toilet but it's worth the extra time it takes. The template they give you to help line up the bolts the seat connects to was super helpful. If I move I would definitely buy it again it was worth the money.

Customer service is top notch! I bought one of these seats, loved it. Easy to install (after a quick read of directions, first seat went on in 15 min, second went on in about 7 min) super nice design for cleaning of entire toilet, sturdy, slow close is nice, durable. I liked the first so much I ordered a second. But I made a mistake and ordered round and did not notice until after the return date expired. Called company and talked to Customer Service and they accepted the return! Very generous of them, so I got the correct shape installed it in the kids bathroom and love it there too!
Some reviews mention it doesn't fit or is hard to install, but after looking over directions and understanding the smart design, I had absolutely no issues with the install (on either toilets) or with the seat not being solid.
Highly recommend.
