Very happy with the product. Very easy to install and works just as I expected. When installing just make sure you line up the seat how you want and tighten the screws the best you can. I had to make a small adjustment because it must have moved when I took the seat off to tighten the screws. It's very easy to pop the seat on and off. It came with both white and stainless steel mounting bracket covers. The documentation says brushed aluminum and other colors are available to order separately if you need to match another color. The top lid needs to be pushed just a little further than expected to get it to soft close but I think that is due to it being less weight so needs a bit more gravity to pull it down but it's nothing exaggerated. Just have to work on the muscle memory a few times. When you unpack it and if you try and see if it will soft close before mounting it, it won't. Once it is installed it'll work as your expecting. Very happy to tap and walk away and not worry about my dogs thinking it's their huge water bowl :).

Can't believe I'm writing a review about a toilet seat... anyway, this was to replace a Kohler plastic toilet seat that developed a crack. I guess that's what happens with frequent posterior contact- crack transfers from one place to another. Back to the review.... The seat seems well made, and the soft close feature is really what sold me. I'm a guy and have been accused of not putting down the seat. This is actually a true observation, but the way I see it, the household is 50% of the XY and 50% XX, so the amount of seat raising and lowering is more or less equally split. I know someone will shoot holes in that theory, based on some sort of complex statistical analysis, but I stand by it.
I digress... in order to ensure lasting peace in the house, I splurged on the seat with the soft close feature, which believe it or not, encourages putting the seat down because I don't have to stoop over before AND after to manipulate said device. Strange, but true phenomenon. Other than that, the seat is solid, seems easy to clean, and was easy to install. I will say that it is slightly more concave than the old seat, and it cradles the rump somewhat more than the normal flat-ish or convex wood seat. Not saying that it's bad...just different. It takes a little getting used to.

1. Received the toilet seat and was not in a Marcobelle carton, just a plain carton shipped from Amazon. The seat looked like it wasn't new and had a stainless post stuck in the toilet seat mounting hole. Tried to get the post out and just couldn't without breaking the mounting base. I called Bath Royale and spoke to Mark. I explained the problem with him and also the way it was shipped. He then stated that he would get Amazon to send me another toilet seat and try to get to me within 2 days. The seat did arrive in 2 days and was mounted within the hour. It was a very easy installation and worked flawless. I am very happy with my purchase and will buy another.

I installed this today to replace a cheap toilet seat that was put on during a remodel a few years back that finally broke on the back. I chose this seat because of the click and release feature for more through cleaning (I'm so excited about this cleaning feature it's sad). It also features a slow close seat which is probably awesome if you have kids. I like that the rubber gaskets have raised areas that lock in to the hardware to keep them from coming loose and sliding around like my old seats gaskets had over time. It took me about 10-15 mins to install because of tweaking the click lock bolts to line them up. Ive never installed a toilet seat so I don't know if this is average or not on time but I was satisfied with it. After installing and tightening I removed it with the click feature a few times to test it and am pleased. I'm going to order a second for my other bathroom.
