I was given this in hospital now twice, once for my hip repair surgery and again for my hernia surgery. I bought this to get more value at home and I never got infection and I had energy and healed in less time than told I would. Great stuff, and it taste good not like medicine. Mine was a chocolate shake taste and texture.

I was told to drink these twice a day for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after a major abdominal surgery, to speed healing and recovery. I'm sure they helped but it was costly for a senior on a fixed income and I'm sure prohibitive for many. The taste was ok, I got used to it. A light chocolate version would be nice to break up the routine.

This product is useful in that it has all the necessary nutrients needed to help with wound healing after surgery. However, it is overpriced and high in sugar. The amount of sugar in one bottle is 19g, which is pretty much equivalent to drinking a sugary beverage, like soda every day. I recommend Ensure Juven packets as an alternative.

They taste good. I was expecting them to taste awful but they're nice. Kind of expensive but I needed them for surgery. Doctor's orders so I drank them. Probably could have drank a less expensive version but I didn't want to take chances with colon cancer in the picture. I was walking the day after surgery so maybe they did the job :D I hope nobody ever needs them but they're good. ***Note: can't find them in any stores, or drug stores, not even walmart or walgreens or cvs. So save yourself the trip if you need some, just order online.
