Easy to drink - taste is not a problem

Ensure Clear was recommended by my doctor for use before a procedure. I almost didn't purchase this, and did get a backup product just in case, after reading the other reviews. Arctic Chill does not give you much in the way of a description of what to expect from flavor. The taste is very mild and a little sweet. It reminds me a little of a milkshake, though the label says that it is fat and gluten free and suitable for lactose intolerance. There is little smell which is in no way offensive. The product helps with hunger when you can't eat for a day.

As a colon surgeon I have used the alternative carbohydrate loading product prior to surgery for several years called Clearfast. When this ensure product came to market I was excited to try it as an alternative. The nurses at our hospital and clinic tried them both and would not take a second sip of the Ensure product as it tasted horrendous. I feel no patient would finish the bottle before surgery and not receive the benefits of carbohydrate loading.

Extremely expensive. Doesn't taste good. Not shipped in package shown. It's in tiny cardboard container. Never buying it again.

This tasted and smelled awful. Also not clear but about the color of apple juice. I could not even finish the recommended amount so I don't know if it helped or not.
