perfect item
Good texture and flavor rye flour

I can't find rye flour in our area and decided to find it on Amazon. My husband cannot eat wheat and really appreciates the flavor of the bread I made with a gluten-free recipe. I substituted 1 cup of the rye flour for 1 cup of gluten-free all-purpose flour and increased the liquid (almond milk) by 1/4 cup. Happy Hubby and happy me!

Received product within delivery window. I was surprised to see that it arrived in a durable, gusset, re-sealable, commercial plastic bag. Not the thin plastic, but the thick plastic used on many health food items. Its quite alright. I like that it is re-sealable. I'm just saying, the Amazon photo looks like paper. This product had to travel over 1200 miles during the seven day delivery, so that may be the reason for the change in packaging. At least I don't have to worry about weevils. I'll have to do an update after actually using the flour. I'm using it to make sourdough starter and its feeding. Can't monkey around with this tender flour. The expiration date is March 2018.
