I'm sure the driver board is alright, though one of the ICs has no markings.
The ceramic ring on my disc was cracked in half. I was able to get it to make a small amount of mist but nothing like it should.
Now I've either got to order replacement discs or return this and find another.

Actually I take it back. The item DOES work. Here's the deal, you need more than 5V to get it to work reasonably. DO NOT soak the piezo underwater or it will short the connection (of course I didn't think that through). The way I tested the unit was I put water in a water bottle cap and dipped half the disk in it. I shorted the connections from the switch and it hissed and vapor was produced until the droplet disappeared. Mine did not work at 5.5V with 700mA available but whatever, it works just fine at 12v with 2A available. Then yea it forms a cool jet of mist coming from the center of the disk. The center of the disc cannot be submerged in the liquid or else it will not have enough power to atomize. The piezo feeds the center region the liquid. Not a faulty item I just didn't know how it worked.

Work great. Make sure you use a cotton wick if feeding from a hotel below unit.
