I am sheet rocking my garage and thought this would be the perfect solution to allow the mail to drop through the newly insulated/sheet rock wall. The product arrived extremely well packed and is very well made. I was surprised at the low price point. I ended up not using it because the slope was not right for my implementation. I knocked off a star because the mail flap lifts up and stays up; there is no spring and the weight doesn't cause it to close. Maybe over time it will close but if the mail person leaves it up and, depending on where your mail slot is, rain could come straight in. Besides this minor flaw, a great product.

This product is really well built and designed. Make sure you have at least 6 inches of clearance below the receiving end, or magazines and larger envelopes may get jammed up. Need above average DIY skills if installing in a wall with studs and crossmembers and if you want it to look professional. Very low key look. Would buy again.
