Absolutely worth every penny!!! I have bought so many different body pillows. So were ok but wouldn't last long. One I bought I thought was good, until my doctor told me to try a U shape body pillow, he said most pregnant women use them. At first I laughed because I am in my 40's and was getting ready for my first grandson. I kinda thought it was a joke. I was so WRONG! I broke my back in my mid 20's, and I broke it so bad I was airlifted to the hospital. From my hips down I could not feel anything. And a lot of problems since. Now my spine and neck Are deteriorating. I am not sure when it started or who bad it will get. I can't do much without horrible pain starting. I still work full time. I will get to the point. When I get into bed with my pillow, it completely cuddle's my body, and with it being a U- shape you already have the prefect pillow for your head. It has not lost its shape and the stuffing is just as the day I bought it. Which was more then a few years ago. It keeps my body posture in the perfect form all night even when I changed side's. I wake up with no pain at all. Even if I only get 2 hours of sleep or 6. It completely relaxes me, and my body so my body can rest all my damage places I have!! If you truly need something that works, don't overlook this because you might think it's only for pregnant women. I recommend everyone to start using this U pillow. Even if you don't have pain. It's great to keep your posture perfectly in line while sleeping! Run and give it a try!!

I bought this pillow seeing the sleek "U" design and 2 sides to have to support my knees for either direction I turned, but was disappointed that it is not a true "U" shape, but rather one very long straight pillow. Imagine taking a straight pillow and folding it in half trying to make it a smooth U, it just doesn't work. So at the "self folded" area it is rather bulky and not smooth. So if you think it will be a molded shape like the picture it is not.

But I originally purchased thee pillow because I have had knee surgery for Meniscus trimming for an accident which left tears in the meniscus, which left some spots with bone on bone, which can cause much discomfort when sleeping when the bone touches the bone without the cushy meniscus between the lower and upper leg bones.

I am a side sleeper (sometimes on my back), and need to keep my knee AND ankle horizontal to the bed, so as not to put the angled pressure on my knees (because if only the knee is on a pillow and the ankle angles down sideways touching the mattress top from the knee it hurts my knee), so the length of the pillow (I am 5'2") is plenty to support my bent forward upper leg and knee on the body pillow and going down all of my lower leg to my foot also on the pillow horizontally and both even, so it does help me to sleep better with less pain and pressure on my knees.

But as suggested by another person, I had to turn the pillow upside down with the folded part (as I said it's not a true U shape) at my feet, well below my feet at the very end of the bed (I have a queen size bed) and use my regular pillow for my head which is fine. I have to get the pillow as low as I can on the end of the bed, so that my feet are not touching the U. With a regular double bed, which I believe is 6" shorter than my queen size bed, and for someone taller than my 5'2", I believe they would have a hard time doing this though.

It is fluffy now being a fairly new purchase, but from the reviews on here, I know it will get flatter over time. But I am looking forward to that, as I like a somewhat flatter pillow as too fluffy puts my upper leg bent forward onto the pillow too high as it comes out from my hip, and I was looking for a pillow that my leg would extend from my hip joint straight out and not make it bend way up high or way down, which would put stress on the hip joint and hence affect the spine and back also. So this seems to keep me at an even level.

I believe a person with back issues would be helped by this pillow as well, for the same reason for alignment of the hips and spine when sleeping. As a person sleeps on their side, a pillow as support helps the alignment of the hip and upper leg coming out from the hip area so the knee doesn't lower to the mattress at such a bend and stretch the hip joint so much causing pressure and pain in that area and hence affecting the back. My ex-husband had lower back pain and a pillow between his knees always helped him to sleep better, so I believe someone with back issues would benefit from this.

And of course for the pregnant ladies! My daughter has a body pillow similar to this, but more of the molded u at the head, which I used as I recouped at her after place for a few days after my 2 knee surgeries, and I knew from being a side sleeper I had to get something similar as her pillow helped me with less stress and pain on my knees from improper alignment when sleeping on my side without a pillow to rest my bent knee on. Her baby is 2 now, yet she still uses her pillow as she was rear ended at 20 years old and has lower back pain often even yet from that accident.. The only problem is that her husband dislikes the big body pillow in the bed, as he can't snuggle up close to her as much as he'd like and it does take up a good amount of space, but then they have only a double bed. But they plan to get a queen or king when they move so it will be less of an issue then I'm sure.

Overall, I am happy with the body pillow except for it not being the flatter molded "U" shape at the top as it appears in the picture. My main objective in purchasing this pillow was to support my knee to ankle keeping it straight across in a horizontal way as I sleep on my side, to alleviate knee fatigue and pain, and it does do that.

The pillow case is soft also and I am one who can't stand rough scratchy sheets. I would buy it again.

I was looking for some kind of support pillow because i tore a ligament in my hip and had chronic hip pain. I could never get a good nights sleep because of the pain. I saw that a few people raved about this pillow and I decided to buy it 3 weeks before my hip surgery.
Before surgery, I was able to sleep a little better during the night with this pillow. Post surgery, OMG i love this pillow. It is amazing and I can use it so many ways to get comfortable and take the pressure off my hip. I read the other comments about the seam in the pillow not being comfy in the top part of the U. While i can somewhat agree with that, there is so many other options with this pillow.

I can not sleep without down pillows. So i already new that sleep on the round part for me wasn't an option.
Here's how I make the most out of this pillow. I sleep with it in a U shape instead of a n shape. The round part is at the bottom so that I can put my down pillows between the two straight parts. It works great this way. Then if i need more support under my knee i bend one of the sides under my knee to make an excellent leg propping pillow. Since my incisions are on my right hip I mostly sleep on my left side or back and have absolutely no problem rolling over even with the round part at the bottom. I am 5'6'' and so sleeping this way the length and turning isn't a problem. I slightly bend my knees and sleep with my feet on the bottom of the U or off the edge onto the bed.
I do agree that I wish I could have a normal pillow case for this in satin, jersey or some other kind of material. I'm going to ask a friend with a sowing machine to make one as it wont be too hard.
To the seller (maker of this pillow), if you were to make really nice pillow cases to go with this pillow i'm sure you'd sell a ton! I for one would by one in a soft great fabric!
Also people complained about the material being too warm. Yes, I can see that, but I live in seattle and right now its 30 degrees and raining. The warmth of the pillow is keeping me from freezing at night. I could see it being an issue during the summer. Again though, another type of fabric over the pillow (making your own case) will solve this problem.

I absolutely love this pillow and its making my recovery from surgery much more manageable.

I can't give you feedback about using it while pregnant, but if your goal is to take pressure off your hips and joints then this is a great option!

Update: The company reached out to me regarding my concerns and has offered me a replacement free of charge or to reimburse me the money I spent on the pillow. I have selected to receive a new pillow in hopes that it will be as good as the first one I had! I am giving 4 stars for good customer service and standing behind their product but not 5 stars yet as I haven't tried the new pillow!

This is my second one of these pillows, I loved my first one so much I bought I new one! Only thing is, this one hasn't seemed to hold up as well as my first one. This one is less than 6 months old and has two separate areas where the filling has separated and is virtually gone in these two areas. This did happen to one area on my last pillow but that pillow was several years old before that occurred. I still like the pillow but it is disappointing to spend $100+ and have it break down in less than 6 months.

I am 61 and have many back issues and need support while I sleep. This item allows me to have support while lying on my side, for both my back and legs. I had this pillow for over 5 years and when I moved across the country the old one was thrown away to my dismay. I am so glad they returned in stock so I could finally purchase another one. I suggest this pillow to both Pregnant and those needing support for a good night's sleep. If I ever lose this one I will purchase another one.
