After having back surgery, it has been hard for me to get out of bed on my own -- until I bought his bed rail! I was hesitant to use it at first, but now I love it because it enables me to be more independent. My husband appreciates it as well because he no longer has to get up at night or in the morning to help me get out of bed!

This is great. During assembly make sure spring pins in parts B are facing out. If not, you will need to switch them so that they are or else part D will not click into position. Assembly instructions show this, but you might miss it in your haste to try out this excellent bed rail.

I bought this for my 64 year-old mother who weighs 250 lbs. She used to struggle to get out of bed independently and also fell out of bed a few times. She uses it to get in and out of bed and actually likes to lean on it during the night to support her body against it. Since the rail runs under the mattress, her own weight provides the resistance she needs when she leans on it. I saw other bed rails online but this one seemed the strongest and best value. I was NOT disappointed! I actually just bought another one today to help give her the same support on the other side of the bed. But I will have to place it more to the center of the bed so that it can fit and not overlap.
