I was looking for a door lock with a keypad and came across this. I admit I thought the fingerprint function was a bit much but after looking at the other locks available and the ratings, I decided to give this one a try. It is a little pricey but it is worth every penny. Full disclosure, my lock had some kind of electrical glitch so I emailed the company's customer service to see if this was normal and they responded quickly and were so incredibly helpful AND even sent me a replacement door lock at no extra cost. I honestly could not have asked for better service!!! There are so many things I really like about this door lock. It feels substantial - it not only looks nice but it is weighty and solid and each piece is well made. It is extremely easy to install and I LOVE that if you have a standard door, there are no extra holes to drill so I can install it myself and not have to ask my grouchy husband for help. I've added the pin codes via the keypad and also using the app and while both ways are easy, using the app took no time at all. I love that you can unlock the door using a variety of methods and if all else fails, you can still use a normal key. And boy was I wrong about the fingerprint option! My family and I all thought the fingerprint thing was stupid... UNTIL we tried it out. Now it is the only method we use and I think the only time I've used the pin codes is when I first tested the lock to see if it worked. So since I've had to install this lock twice, I do have a few observations. First, take the extra few seconds and remove the screws and stuff from the little bags before you start installing and keep the stuff within reach. This will make your life a lot easier. Second, don't be an idiot like me and close the door while you are installing the lock, otherwise you will have to makeshift attach the handle in order to open the door again (just trust me). And third, tell you tech challenged loved ones that they do not need to press on the fingerprint pad, they just need to stick their finger there. It's funny to watch them do it but it's so unnecessary :) The only tiny suggestion I have to the creator of this lock is to make the hole that the wire goes through a little wider so you don't have to bend the wire in order for the connector end to fit through it. To me it doesn't make sense why it's not sized appropriately but maybe I'm just being picky. Other than that, I think this door lock is pretty great - it looks nice (I bought the nickel version), it's so easy to install, it's super easy to use, the app is very user friendly (you can even add a shortcut to your phone so you don't need to open up the app!) and their customer service is fantastic!

We've had 2 of these locks in our home for the past 3 years. They're primarily used to keep small children out of dangerous rooms. The ease in which the doors unlock with the touch of a finger makes the locks painless and unobtrusive. I'd say it has an 80% first fingerprint success, and the failures are due to user error. Within 2 seconds I'm turning the handle on the door.

We use the wifi bridge for one door lock. I don't see why it can only service one lock, but it does. The bluetooth connection works for both flawlessly from around our home.

Most importantly, the customer service has been fantastic. I reached out a couple weeks ago about the inner mechanism not engaging all the time on one of the locks when activated, and they promptly sent a new mechanism in the mail. No worry that we're outside the regular warranty period.

These are pricey locks, but well worth them for the ease in use and back-end support. I'd purchase again!

I have 3 of these Ultraloq smart door locks and after 2 years one of the locks stopped working from the outside. I've had such good luck with them that I ordered another one to replace it. While the new one was on its way, I took apart the broken one and found that the solenoid (clutch) that activates the door latch stopped working. After installing the new one, I couldn't get it to connect to my Wi-Fi, so I contacted customer support, and they walked me through a software update, and it worked. I mentioned that my old Ultraloq clutch wasn't working, and he said there was a lifetime warranty on the mechanical parts and that they would get a part out to me right away. When I got the part, they walked me through installing the clutch and we got the old one working again. Thankfully we now have another door with this door lock. Can't say enough good things about their customer support or their product!
We also have a Kwikset Kevo Touch-To-Open smart Door Lock that we paid almost $400 for, and we've had nothing but problems with it. The touch feature stopped working after 3 weeks and we're going through a set of batteries every 3 weeks, and we've gotten nothing but bad customer support. We're switching this Kevo lock to a Ultraloq because we know Ultraloq is dependable, and we can get help if we need it.

I really liked the lock. You could give Individuals a personal code to unlock the door or use their fingerprint. If you download the app it tracks who comes in and out. I did have difficulty with the battery driving after 2 weeks no matter what type/brand of battery I used. After trying several types of batteries I reached out to customer service. Customer service was excellent and easy to work with. They responded quickly and ended up sending me a new unit. They followed up till the situation was resolved. This particular model was not available so they sent a similar one. So far we are happy. Despite the defect with our original lock I wanted to leave a positive review because they made it right!

The fingerprint reader worked for the first few days after installation but after several weeks it NEVER works, I believe it is very sensitive to changes in the condition of your skin which alters your fingerprint. The touch pad works perfectly and the quality of the handle, frame and deadbolt is excellent. I can see this lasting a long time.
