Best option for lever handles
Saildanz•November 2, 2017
Outstanding product, as long as your particular door has clearance & a smooth surface to mount it. My application is for preventing an elder from wandering out my front door when no one is looking. He has been seen on camera trying to figure out how to get the lock opened, but has not succeeded so far... The adhesive seems long lasting. We tried the circular type lock before & it was much harder to mount & easily defeated by him. Before you buy, make sure that you can open the door from the outside without the need for the handle to move. Most of the type that you push down with your thumb will work fine.
Lock’em Up!

Our two year old quickly discovered how to open handled doors as part of her mission to eat all the goldfish crackers in our house. The lever locks act as the perfect foil especially with the decoy button. Installation is easy and takes about three minutes "” measure, peel the backing off, and stick. We added the locks to several other doors and they work perfectly.
To unlock the handle, just squeeze on either side of the hinge while lowering the lever.

Great toddler stopper!

After our outdoor-loving two year old figured out how to twist and pull our front door open we knew we had to find something to stop him from heading out and visiting the neighbors!
Thank goodness for Prime, it was here and we installed it ASAP! The backing was VERY hard to remove but once we did it's been great -he even gets frustrated when the lever is down because he can't push the "˜button'. Winning!
We haven't removed it or needed to adjust it.
We also have to pinch on both sides for the lever to move unlike other reviewers have stated.

Brilliant!

I love these, but I am pretty sure my toddler doesn't. After weeks of playing the opening and shutting game with the pantry door, my husband bought and installed these on the two doors our daughter constantly opens and closes. When he installed them, I vocalized how I thought it was funny there was a "decoy button" and that it seemed silly. However, it makes sense to have it because not only has it duped my kid, my mother has attempted to undo the lock using it! The best part was how easy these were to installed. No tools necessary!
Really works!

It works! And my little 3 yr old brainiac is still stuck on the fake button, though he's starting to watch like a hawk when we open doors. He knows something's up. I was going to give it four stars because, on doors with full-length windows, it has to go under the blinds and makes them stick out, but that's not really a product defect; it's just the way the door was designed. Recommended for anyone whose kids are a roamer risk!
