My TV has 3 HDMI ports, but the 3rd port is jenky and gets a poor connection, plus I now have 4 HDMI devices that I need to plug into my TV. Hence why I purchased this product. After a few months this switch has performed great! I plugged it into my TV's USB port which allows it to turn on and off with the TV. And even then, when I turn the TV back on it remembers which device I was previously using. And even still, when I switch devices this HDMI switch will automatically switch the majority of the time, which is awesome. That makes it much easier to explain to visitors and babysitters how to operate the TV. I intended to use this switch just for my 2 least-used devices, but it works so well that I plugged my main 3 devices into it and don't even bother to use any of the other TV inputs, anymore, except for the rare occasion I use my orphan 4th device. It's easier and faster to use than switch TV inputs.

So far, this has been a very nice purchase. It got off to rough start, the remote didn't work right out of the box, but one email was all it took for them to send out a replacement! Excellent job on that!
The USB power cord is approx 42" long, which is a little short but it is functional and I only needed to make a slight adjustment to my system to fit the box within reach of the power outlet. The interface between the remote and the PiP is a bit quirky, but I was really only interested in the switch itself and since it auto switches to whatever system I turn on, it almost makes the PiP irrelevant - but it is nice :)
I've got an Xbox 360 & Xbox One hooked up with a fire stick to the switch. The Fire stick is always on so when I turn on either xbox it auto switches and has gone back to fire stick when I turn the gaming system off. Pretty nice and simple so far.

I love this thing so much. It automatically detects where it's getting input from and switches to it, so I don't have to keep up with the remote. It's not uncommon for my husband to watch Netflix/Crunchyroll on the PS3 while I'm in class in the morning, I'll come home and boot up the PS4 to watch Youtube during lunch. It switches to the PS4 automatically, then when I leave and shut down the PS4, it automatically goes back to the PS3.
The PIP thing seems cool in concept, but the second screen is so small, and it doesn't carry over the audio. If you're trying to like keep track of a game score it's probably okay, but I bought it for a multi HDMI input/switcher, not a PIP device.

My cable company just upgraded my service and I only had 2 HDMI ports and the new service needed one and I was currently using the other for my Firestick. The Dingsun switch (3 HDMI input ports and 1 output to a monitor) is really fantastic. Of course, since I came into my hands I have been able to connect two different computers to a single monitor. Moving from one computer to another with the small remote control (8.5 X 4 centimeters) makes the task very easy for me. The same port transfer can be done manually using a button that has the device. He has been connected all the time and has not experienced any kind of warm-up.
