First, I purchased a set of 4, not knowing for sure exactly what I'd be purchasing. If the colors were different than the picture or if it was to cheap looking, I would just give it away. I was so very well pleased with the quality, I bought another set of 4 making the 8 place setting I needed. These dishes make a beautiful and
welcoming table setting!!! Worth the money.!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this set of dishes is so beautiful I couldn't resist!
They arrived unblemished, and appear to be durable, functional, as well as adorable.
So pleased I made this purchase!

I bought individual pieces of this place setting years ago, directly from the Pfaltzgraff warehouse. Both the dinner plate and the salad plate and the pasta bowl had the same design and very pretty. There was no NOT a thick, black background paint on the rim face of the dinner plate back then - this hides some of the beautiful flowers, making the flowers that appear on the center of the plate, look chopped off - the overall plate is not appealing.
The cups and bowls are the same as what was offered with the place setting many years (maybe 10 yrs. or so ago), not very attractive, with a single poppy flower on each, with the rest of the bowl and cup "plane jane," including the inside - I found them unattractive then as well as now. I bought the set from Amazon for the salad plates only, and gave the rest of it to my husband to use in his "man's den," 2nd level of the detached garage, wayyy out back of the main house :).

I love this poppy set. All dishes came intact. The set does have some imperfections nothing major but some imperfections on varied pieces. This is one of the reasons I did not give it a five-star rating. The mugs in the set, exactly as they have pictured however I wish that the coffee mugs had red poppies painted on them instead of brown. Otherwise I am very pleased with this set.
