Effective alternative to cortisone creams for itch--dries up fungal infections, as wel.
SIerra Gray✓ Verified Purchase•October 24, 2017
Great product for fungal infections and avoids the use of cortisone. Have been using this for a horrendous fungal skin infection and it gives quick relief.
Pros:
-- Dries quickly
-- Cheaper than using the powder alternative
-- Easier than the powder
-- Provides same percentage of aluminum acetate as powder version
-- Generous amount
Cons: I can't really think of any. This is hard to find locally but with Amazon that problem is taken care of.

This is a very old product. We used it ...

This is a very old product. We used it on babies with severe diaper rashes in the 80's and 90's. We made compresses soak in astringent made from the powder. It is a miracle cure . I am so shocked it is so difficult to get . My pharmacist did not know what it was! He could special order it but it would take five days. I got it from Amazon in 2 days. The gel is new and I can't wait to try it. My grandson has roto virus and a rash from hell. All those zinc oxide-based products do nothing but remove layers of skin when you try to clean babies . Sign me. A Pediatric Nurse
