Muscular bass, very pleased.

This sub brings a rich undertone to all of my music and movies. The bass is strong, clean, and compliments my setup very well. I originally purchased to add some punch to my pair of tower speakers in the living room, but one day decided to bring down to my home theater for a special event. Well, the sub never left that room and I bought a second one. It's that good. I can't imagine pushing the power much past the halfway point where I keep it now. And I had no idea how much low-end, earthquake-like bass tracks are hidden in some tunes and movies. The first time it rattled the house I had to pause to see if there was a semi going down the street or something before I realized it was part of the music. Very happy with this purchase and no issues with either unit with a lot of use after 2 years on the first unit and 1 year on the second. Would buy again, but I'm out of rooms that need this kind of thudding power.
I replaced my old Sony sub with this bad boy and was extremely impressed with the performance

For the price this is a very solid addition to any home theater system. I replaced my old Sony sub with this bad boy and was extremely impressed with the performance. When cranked up this thing vibrates everything in my house but the best part is that the bass sounds clean and crisp, no distortion under heavy load. It's added a dynamic to my system that I've been missing for years. Everything from movies and games to sports and music sounds so much different now. Bic Acoustech makes great speakers for the price and easily out perform other brands at high price points. One very happy customer here! If I could leave 10 stars I would.
Upgraded from a Lava 12" and really impressed! Love my new sub! Cant beat the overall value!

I have been using a Lava 12" for years. It died after an unfortunate group loop issue. I have Klipsch reference series speakers all the way around and was considering getting the matching sub but have always read great things about BIC. I gave it a shot after almost biting on the Dayton Audio sub, and I am glad I did! Now, I cant comment on if the Dayton would have been sufficient, it has good reviews too, but so far I am absolutely impressed. I am an audio enthusiast, I like good quality and sound, and this sub delivers. For under $500, you simply cant NOT get anything better. It blows my Lava out of the water, and the volume is turned almost all the way down too! I think a 10" wound have been enough if I am comparing it to the old Lava, which I liked as well but hey, I got the 12", why not! I would recommend this sub to anyone looking for a good upgrade. My room is not that small, its open to the kitchen, and even with levels down just playing music it sounds great. TV/Movies sound great. Auto sensing works as it should, build quality seems great. Finish with the piano black on top is a nice touch too.
Great speaker, BIC America stands by their products when repair is needed.

Purchased June 2014, quit working early April 2017. Blown fuse, changed twice, same result. ZERO response from BIC America tech support after 4 emails. Their website "claims" Warranty: Extended 8 Years Parts & Labor on Driver, 5 Years on Amp & Associated Electronics - guess this only applies if you can actually contact them.
Update June 2017 - contacted by customer sales support and issue was addressed. Amp sent for warranty repair, reinstalled, works great. Thank you BIC America for your support.

A great addition alongside my JBL ES250p

OMG this thing is amazing. I bought this to use as a second subwoofer in my 9.2 Home Theater setup. I've heard good things about it so I decided to give it a try. I have it paired with a JBL ES250p, which is also a highly rated budget subwoofer. Unfortunately I couldn't find the JBL for sale at a decent price anywhere, including Amazon. The PL-200 doesn't have the headroom of the JBL but it's definitely more accurate and sharper than the JBL.
