Awesome bag in the offered price.
I ordered bag 3 days before my bagpacking trip and didn't have time to exchange for big version So I just returned it.
"”I'm 5'8.5" inches high. So I thought i could fit in a scout version which is 75". But it was too tight as you can see in pictures.
"”-I couldn't test it in outside weather.
But it was really warm. seemed warm enough to take care of 40 degrees weather.
"”-Its light weight as advertised.
"”You can guess the hight of the packed sack from picture as I placed a water bottle along with it.
"”Felt a bit tough to me to put back in the sack. But maybe I'm not good at folding.
"” has a nice full zipper at right side as you can see in a picture
"”All in all a good bag if you can carry a 3-4 pound of extra stuff in your hiking pack. If you want lighter for same weather, Be prepared to shed a lot more money.
"”I'm 5'8" 160pound with broad shoulders. Check the photos how scout version fits me.

So I just got home from a hiking trip with my Boy Scout Crew that I'm trying for Philmont. I chose this bag because the coldest it should get on our trek is upper 30s to low 40s. This weekend, it was a different story. I knew the low was supposed to get down in the 20s but I wanted to really see how this bag worked. Turns out, it was 15 degrees F when I woke up at 0630. I will say the bag is not designed to give you a toasty sleep at 20 degrees but it is the survival rating. I will say that I was using a good sleeping mat and a two man Kelty tent I shared with my son. I also was wearing a wool beanie and long handles. I went to bed and was very comfortable. I woke up a couple of times and my feet were cold but not bad. The wind picked up and was blowing on my side and I could tell my shoulder was a little cool but not to the point were I couldn't sleep.
I carried this bag in the Teton sport 4000 and it fit perfectly in the sleeping bag compartment with the inflatable mat.
This bag is not designed to be used below 20 degrees or really below mid 30s but it out preformed my expectations by far. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Only negative is that I have broad shoulders 5'10", 210, and the bag didn't have a lot of room but it's a mummy bag so that's to be expected.

Great value bag, if you fit in it

I own 3 of these, 2 of the regular size and 1 of the "scout" size (Teton actually calls these "short", and they're not even listed on their website). I'm specifically reviewing the scout version. It's noticeably smaller and lighter than the regular version. The stuff sack is a bit thicker and more rugged/tougher than the bigger version, but I purchased the 2 bigger sized bags a year or so ago so it's possible that's what they're using for all the bags now.
The box says it's 6'3" long. I'm 5'9", 150 pounds and fit in it really well. Note that when I say that, it's a mummy bag, and a short version at that. It is NOT roomy. It is not wide. It's a backpacking mummy bag, so don't get it to be comfortable. It goes a couple inches past my head if my feet are all the way pushed down into the foot box. Again, I'm 5'9" 150 and I'm pushing the limits for the scout version.
I use these bags for backpacking, and sleep with them in a hammock and slept in 50 degrees no underquilt and into the 40s with an underquilt and have been fine.
At under 2.5 pounds, under $50, for a +20 bag, you would be very hard pressed to find a better value if you fit in it.

If money is no object, you can find better. If you are backpacking on a budget, you can't find much better than this.

I purchased 2 of these for my daughter and I to take on a 4 day backpacking trip through Rocky Mountain National Park. Spent 3 nights on the trail where the temps dropped to the low 40s. Granted, the temps were well above the survivability rating for the bags, but I could easily see pushing lower temps when dressed property. They packed up nicely and were noticeably light weight. They are not the warmest or lightest on the market, but for the budget backpacker, they were exactly what I was looking for.
Warm for me, not my girlfriend. Overall: good!

5 stars from me. I really like this bag. I used it for the first time the night before I wrote this on a backpacking trip. We went to bed at 6:30PM and the temp. was 40 F. We woke up and ate breakfast at 6:00AM and it was 32 F. I am not sure the lowest temp. we slept through, but it was below freezing for sure. I was warm all night, though I was wearing a medium jacket, pajama pants over my jeans, but only one pair of socks. My girlfriend gave it 3.5 stars because she was wearing more clothes than I and was freezing all night. Both of us are about 140LBS, average height and we fit well in the bag. There is plenty of room for more. The dog was stepping all over the bags with her huge claws all night and there are no signs of tears of rips. The inside material is soft and comfy. Getting this bag into the sack is super easy; just stuff it into the sack, no rolling! My only complaint is that the zipper frequently gets caught while zipping it up when you're inside.
