Buy this instead of the crappy Bosch router hood.

Purchased to use with my Bosch MRC23EVSK plunge base. It fits with two screw locations easily, maybe more if you take the time to figure out all the combinations. The actual dust collection is fantastic, it seems sturdy enough to hold up to consistent use - but keep in mind it is clear plastic. It's not industrial strength and nor is it priced as such. The only problem I had is the edge cutting hood makes it impossible to round over inside corners. So you'll need to take the bottom hood off to route inside corners.
This is probably the most aggravating accessory I have ever purchased for use in my shop.

This is an incredibly frustrating piece of equipment.
I am using it with my Makita 2.15hp D handle style router. The screws that fit my router are slightly too wide to fit through the baseplate. I was able to install it but the screws cut threads into this item and made it difficult to center. Once installed it is much more difficult to change bits because It makes it much more difficult to get to wrenches onto the collet. It might not be terrible if you can lock your collet in place and use a single wrench with your router.
Once installed, the dust collection port that is sandwiched between the 2 halves of the plates will pop out if any pressure is put on in toward the top of the router. When I put my router on the bench with the hose attached to the vacuum it pops out. To reinstall the dust collection port you have to disassemble everything to put it back in.
The dust port doesn't fit many vacuum hoses. I am having to use it with a rockler universal hose kit that contracts when a vacuum is being used and pulls on the router.
The two plates slide around and the dust port rattle around and don't inspire confidence when in use.
The plastic used for its construction feels cheap and feels like it would shatter if dropped on the ground.
The dust collection is pretty good so + 1 star.
I'm now just using it as a baseplate without dust collection because the plate that came with my router is too narrow for wide bits and I can't return it.
--> Save yourself time, money, and headache by using a dustmask and broom.

WELL MADE AND WORKS WELL !

I'm a cabinet maker and professional woodworker and dust containment is something I take seriously. This base actually worked better than the set up on my Dewalt plunge base router, because of the lower shroud that makes it effective when doing edge work. I leave this on my router when its not in the plunge base. It pretty much collects about 99% of the dust when doing edge profiles so for me this base is really a God send, since I hate cleaning up dust after the work is done. Highly recommend !
Only so so

The plastic doesn't seem like it will hold up. Can only use half of the bit diameter when the hood is installed. Changing the hood requires taking the plate apart. Only does an ok job of dust collection.
