I really love this pruner
Tony✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 19, 2018
I really love this pruner. Used it to prune all my 6 young fruit trees with ease - well almost all 6, until I heard a snap and the tension spring flew out and landed somewhere deep in my newly mulched yard. Wish the spring is more tightly secured. 4 stars because of this. Anyone knows how to get a replacement part?

This one I could use for a long time. I bought two prune shears from HD. Both of them get rusty pretty soon even though the weather in San Diego is not humidity at all. The rubber out side the first one got very loose that I couldn't use it any more. I put this one outside for a long time. As you can see in the picture, it's still like new. I'm happy I chose the right one this time.
Clean Cuts, Great Handle
Wuvsnoopy✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 24, 2017
Oh - these are VERY nice! I tend to use items until they have zero life left in them and after sharpening my old pruner again and again I decided to buy new. The grip is solid but soft and the blades are wonderfully sharp. After using them for Fall cleanup, all my plants got clean cuts and I never had any jamming of material. It's great to have a new tool that really works and seems to be very well made.
Sharp and Sturdy

I bought this pruning shears from the lighting deal with pretty fair price to replace my old one. I used it to prune my wistaria and roses, and I am very satisfied with the quality and design of this product. First, it fits my hand very well. You can easily hold it to cut any medium branch (0.5 inch in diameter) with the default setting. If you need to cut some thicker branch, you can adjust the stop to make the shears fit the branch. Second, the blade is very sharp and the spring is very powerful, which can save your hand strength and endurance when doing a lot of work. Third, the price is fair, comparing with my previous one purchased from Lowes. It is very sturdy, and I believe this one can last longer if I can do maintenance well.
Watch out for the Coiled Handel Spring!
J741✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 6, 2017
works well but watch for coiled return spring to fall out. This spring is not retained in it's position very well and mine fell out after a half dozen snips. It went back in place easily and has not fell out again due to holding tension on handles between snips. If this spring does get lost, you have a pair of snips that will be a real pain in the you know what to use. It does cut easily through pretty heavy stocks though.
