They are very well made. However, my dog is an escape artist and when I come home from work, he has managed to get them off. Going to try a smaller size to see if this might be the problem. He is a large chihuahua and I bought the medium size because he was at the top of the small size for his waist. He isn't fat, just not a toy size. There is enough stretch that I now think I should have gotten the small size.

Not at all leak proof I had another diaper (pampers type) under it and a little over flow from that got on this diaper and through it. I ran out of the pampers diapers and had to get male adult in-continence pads, put it on under this cloth pad. After dinner he went downstairs to go out, he decided not to wait for me and went again. This time both were soaked, had to pray he didn't do anything else for the remainder of the night (I was at my friends house and now could not go home because I had a few drinks).
