D-string failure at peg
MARK P TRAHAN•June 22, 2018
I bought these strings based on the overall reputation and recommendations they were given. I admit that I am a novice, but I did take my time and was very careful mounting the new strings, however the D-string broke at the peg end where the cover ends and exposed string begins as it was being spooled onto the peg, not tightened onto the bridge...spooled onto the peg under minimal it any tension. Wasn't over tightened and didn't have any trouble with the A or the G strings. I haven't mounted the C string yet as I got so irritated over the D string I decided to try again later after I calmed down. I know they're not Larsen strings that cost $250 but I expected to be able to get it mounted before one of them failed. Completely unacceptable for the money spent on these. Not pleased.
The A string broke after 10 days.

The A string broke after 10 days. I've been using a Prelude set before the Jargar set and had no problem with them. I regret buying the Jargar, that was wasted money.
I'd sent an e-mail to Jargar and had no response.

Better but not great

Definitely an improvement over the cheap strings on my cheap cello but nothing exceptional. The A string broke in a week or two of use. I eventually got a better cello and now use Larsen and pirastro strings. A lot more money but no comparison

The best ever!
Missing a string
Amazon Customer•July 15, 2017
The C string was missing in the package. How intelligent does one need to be to count four envelopes?
And there is no contact number or email or anything. What should I do?
