OMG! This product is godsent! I'm still bothered by so many mobile manufacturers getting rid of the headphone jack from their devices. I needed an aux cable for playing music in my car since I have an old car, and do not have Bluetooth pairing. This works like a charm. Now I don't have to constantly remember to keep removing the dongle every time I leave the car. This can stay in the car, and the dongle can stay with my headphones.

Sound only coming from one speaker

Sound only comes out of the right, front speaker in my car. There is slight sound coming from the rear and left side, but it is not intelligible. I did not have this problem when I plugged the dongle that came with the Pixel 2 into the 3.5mm cord that I already had in my car. I would recommend buying something else, even if it costs more.

This is the perfect companion to my Pixel 2 and Dell laptop. Both have type C ports and now I can use those ports for traditional headphones. The Pixel 2 can now also be used in my car stereo with this device without worrying about a Bluetooth transmitter. This cable is ready to use and plug and play. This gets rid of the need of using the Pixel 2 dongle to play with traditional AUX devices. Definitely recommend it!
