Quite blurry, but works for privacy and heat/UV blocking

I have used other window films before, including 3M, for security, for UV protection, and for privacy. I would only use this film if you were not planning to look out the window that you install it on due to the resulting loss of clarity. Quite blurry after installing.
Installation itself was straightforward and problem free. I followed instructions exactly, and no bubbles or blemishes to be seen after install.
Works OK as a mirroring effect for privacy, but not nearly as great as I was hoping for compared to a window without the film.
I hate to say it as a very much do-it-yourselfer, but unless you can find some 3M window film to buy, just hire a local company to do this if you are doing several windows (and get them to show you a sample on the window before buying!). Again, the difference between this (and other films I have bought online) and the 3M film that was installed is remarkable.
If someone can recommend a brand of film that is NOT blurry, I would appreciate it.
EDIT: Updating review slightly and adding a star for superior customer service. Was contacted by seller immediately upon reading my dissatisfaction. It seems as if they truly are interested in making you happy with their product and if not, want to know why and what they can do. Impressive these days! I still give this film a "It's ok" star rating because depending on your needs, you could still use this in panes where you didn't care about clarity so much. I actually do have some windows like that in my office that I only really need to block the UV/heat, and rarely use the window for looking out.

I bought this because we needed more privacy as we are living on the first floor where people can see us through the windows when they walk a dog or genuinely jogging. Easy process, you just need to measure your window size and apply them carefully (for me applying all the way from bottom to upward the better). It looks like a mirror from outside and they will have really hard time look through it.
The only downside of this is it will darken your house little bit because it has somewhat tinted, maybe 10% or so. We could notice that our house got significantly darker since it blocks the sunlight as well. However, we do not care too much about that.

was looking for privacy on our windows in the home, without having to cover up our view with curtains. Love the mirrored look, and came across this. Much better price than in hardware stores, for so much more. Took a little bit to figure out how to install as i'm not super handy but once I got the hang of it, it worked out well! Had to redo a few in the beginning learning how to use it, but glad there was plenty on the roll, for my mess ups! It looks so great from the outside and my neighbor already stopped by to ask what it was. Definitely happy with this product!

Took me days to gather the courage and time to install this. Watched a few videos. It really is a 2 person job unless you're professional at this. BE CAREFUL. Learn how to install these first. This doesn't come with any installation equipment like installation fluid, wiper, scraper.
We installed this on our sliding door. So far it doesn't look as good as the other glass next to it with the same type of product installed (years ago). I learned it can take days for this to fully cure, so I'm expecting it to improve over time. I spent a good hour after we installed it squeezing out more and more fluid from underneath, make sure to spend time doing that.
It is one way, but at night it will reverse and you have a mirror image from looking at in inside and outside people can see in (wherever the light is). Don't expect one way like one way glass in an interrogation room.

Easy to apply to window and gives you privacy while you can enjoy the outside view. It also has good quality. I bought this for my daughter's room because directly across the window there is a neighbor's window and we can clearly see what they are doing if they open the curtain. I don't want them looking at us. Now I can see them and they only can see themselves lol. I don't have to constantly worry to close the curtain when I'm in PJ. I plan to buy more to put on all the windows of my house since my husband doesn't like to be seen (he perceives people would watch him even we live on 4th floor). So every time he comes back home he would just close all the curtains, but I want to see outside view and want to let the sun get in the house. With this window film it will serve us well.
