The bag it came in had a large label that says MADE IN CHINA. There is absolutely NO writing on the outside of the cable identifying the type of cable. It is extremely stiff and where ever you bend it stays, so I doubt its conductors are solid copper, rather copper coated steal. Another indication it is NOT SOLID COPPER conductors is that the DC resistance is way too high and if you move the connectors around while measuring the resistance the reading will jump all over the place indicating the solder connections are very Poor. In my opinion, this cable is not useable for electrical purposes, however, It should have excellent tinsel strength if you use it as a rope.
