I have many Wüsthof and Henkel chef knives. I have custom knives my husband handmade for me. I have Wüsthof knives that are over 30 years old and are in perfect condition. I know good knives. My son recently got his first job and moved into his first apartment. He asked for some of my knives. I gave him a few of my older knives and told him maybe he would get some nice knives for Christmas. I wanted to buy him the Wüsthof Nakiri and a serrated utility knife. I happened across the Zelite brand. They are made out of the same kind of steel but are considerably less expensive than Wüsthof knives. I decided to order a couple of them so I could check them out because I knew I could return them if they didn't pass muster. I have to tell you when I opened up the Zelite Nakiri knife I could not believe the superior quality. It has balance. It has heft. The handle feels great in your hand. You know immediately that you are in possession of a chef quality piece of cutlery. I am very happy with these knives and I can't wait to give them to my son for Christmas. I have an idea that I will be ordering some of these knives for myself, as well. You will not be disappointed.

It is truly a nice knife that feels well in the hand. Good craftsmanship. Only issue is the price. Cutlexe makes a similar cleaver knife that is almost identical in size, style, and quality at about half the cost. I returned this knife as nice as it s for the more affordable Cutlexe cleaver knife and have been very satisfied.

I am 80-years old and have had a love affair with quality knives my entire life. Over the years I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of professional chef's knives from many of the major manufactures from France, Germany and Japan. I have the old carbon steel knives as well as the newer stainless steel knives, and I have just about every configuration of knife made for the professional chef.
What all of this is leading up to is that I recently purchased a Zelite Infinity Boning Filet Knife for my wife. She has one particular knife that uses for almost all cutting jobs, so I am constantly having to sharpen it for her. While this knife is of good quality steel, made in Japan and purchased in New York from a large restaurant supply outlet, it does not hold as sharp of an edge as long as my wife requires; ergo I sharpen it often. The Zelite knife is just the opposite as it holds it edge for many uses. It is in my opinion the finest knife I have even seen or used in my lifetime of spending far too much money on far too many knives unnecessarily. However, even though I am 80-years old I a going to be sure to acquire more of these fine knives; either purchase them myself or have family give them to me as gifts for Xmas and birthdays. You have produced an outstanding product with these knives and should be very proud of your achievement as you went up against some tough competition, and in my opinion produced a better knife.

I love these knives!!! First let me say, I'm a review librarian. I read tons of reviews before I buy anything. I compare. I shop value and I shop amazing products. I'm an avid cook, a foodie. I'm not a chef. I have rubbermade takeout containers in my kitchen and I have French hand crafted cookware. I spend money on things I love and things that will last. 2 years ago when I got married, my husband picked out an inexpensive set of knives in a block. They cut things, but over time I've grown a serious hate for them. Being in the kitchen is music to my soul, but with bad knives, it's been less fun for real. We have 2 kitties that I've decided to make homemade food for, which consists of chopping a lot of meat- with bones. It takes me a ton of time because of my crappy knives. I researched Amazon (because I love Amazon) and found tons of amazing reviews for Zelite. So, I ordered the cleaver, the chef's knife and 2 5.5 inch serrated for steak night. I did buy crynomore gloves for when I have to chop the meat for the kitties- just in case because I heard these knives were very SHARP. Yesss, very much so. Also, as the reviews state, these are awesomely packaged in a box that you can store them in if you don't plan to use them often. I read about installing a magnet to hang your knives on. I went to Target today to buy one, and it actually has to be installed with screws and we have a backsplash and we rent. So, the other option was that they sell a big in drawer knife holder. It holds 6 big knives and 4 small knives for 12$, so I got that instead. The magnet strip is 14$. Both found at Target. These will last us forever. I'll definitely be buying the larger serrated knife and more steak knives in case of company. Can't say enough great things about these knives! Honestly, at first I was going to buy the top dollar ones from this same company, but decided to go with the 40-60$ range instead to see if I like them. Definitely great quality and I'll never have to buy the 200$ versions for what I do.
