I bought this Walkie Talkie as a toy for my sons, 2 boys love it. they have so much fun with it.
Each one needs 4 AAA batteries so you will need 8 AAA batteries in total. The Voice is clear, It was able to do communicate over a mile, even can receive the voice from other people in the same channel. It has 22 Channels, so you can set them on the same channel.

This walkies talkies comes with a Navy style camouflage color. Its size should fit the hand of kids. Batteries are not included, so you need to buy 4 AAA batteries for each interphone. It should be a good toy for kids, but may not be powerful enough for adults who do real outdoor adventures. Nevertheless, this product meets my need well and is good for this price.

My 5 years old and 11 years old kids are play with it for days. You have to buy battery yourself. And if you don't shut it off , your battery will done for two days use.

Extremely disappointed in these. Our kids used them twice and then the batteries on one died, took the batteries out, so I put them up and as you sort of forget about things. Tonight, as we are packing for camping and the kids are excited about the walkie talkies, I put new batteries in both walkie talkies. One of the prongs for the batteries broke off. Unfortunately the return window has passed. No, the kids were not rough on them. So, I do not recommend these.
