This thing stomps the Shakespeare WebWatch. I purchased the WebWatch first and could never get it stable enough to consider mounting it on my radar arch. After a warranty replacement WebWatch ending up with the same glitchy problems, I coughed up the extra $100 to get the Glomex. Wow, what a difference! It has two card slots so you can have two different carriers. I'd suggest only contracting one SIM card from AT&T and then getting a prepaid from T-Mobile as a back up. AT&T never goes into 4G but still pulls 8gbs on 3G. This has to do with me subletting a (true) unlimited plan from a guy on Ebay. It's not the antenna. I bought a T-Mobile SIM with prepaid 4G and wow!. This router was pulling 70gbs over the air! Incredible! I'd recommend going prepaid SIMs during a vacation with lots of passengers. That way you'll have plenty of bandwidth at lightening speeds. The wifi repeater function works like a champ. When connecting the router to the marina wifi the antenna picked up other marinas and houses along the shore. It gave my too many choices really. Only downside is that it doesn't connect to 5G Wifi. Which is a luxury and not typically used in marinas because 5g Wifi sacrifices distance for speed. My marina does have 5G in addition to regular but I can't take advantage of it with this repeater.
An added bonus is that if you want to use a WiFi only iPad for navigation, as long as the router is set to use the cell signal, it will provide GPS to your iPad. That saves you from dropping money on an GPS antenna.
The Glomex app is great, it connects straight to tech support if needed and does registration for you. Its pretty basic but it gets the job done and gives you the info you need. The Shakespeare WebWatch app is fart comparatively.
The only thing I dislike about the look of the antenna dome is all the damn stickers, but they do come off. It looks kinda hookie with all that stuff all over it, front and back. I also worry that they'd yellow under the sun.
You'll want to go with at least a 4" tall, non-threaded 1" mount to be able to access the card port. You can hard wire this router if you need too but it requires some basic surgery on the dome to get the LAN cable into the housing. Otherwise, its a two wire hook up, 12v Pos & Neg. Amp draw is minimal. It has a power on LED that faces downward. The dome is smaller than a standard trac-vision dome, so it won't exactly give you a balanced look on your arch. So, using a double pedestal might "look" better.
Last thing is; As of 2/18 it does not support Sprint in the US. Bummer.

Is not perfect but it works well.

I have used the glomex 3G/4G/WiFi Antenna for 6 months in the US and in the Bahamas. I used Tmobil in the US and Aliv in the Bahamas.
The good :
I was able to get enought internet speed and stability to communicate most of the days with Teams and facetime (audio. video and sharing). We were able to text / get mails / weather 15 miles away from most shores.
The support service in the US is extremely responsive and helpfull.
The not too good :
yes - the response time (start, restart, change setting is slow)
yes - you have to climb the mast to change cimcard
and yes the app (was on IOS) is not super sexy, and not the most intuitive
I did few checks comparing speed/stability going directly to the wifi or 4g antenal from my iphone or connecting via the glomex (we I could see the signal also from the phone). The result depends a lot of the original signal quality/proximity. When close to the tower, the speed is better going direct, but its the opposite when the signal is poor. Once you got that, you use either the glomex signal, etheir the direct signal using your phone as a hot spot.
I cannot compare with the other systems available on the market but I am happy with this one.

Great boat accessory for 2018 needs. Light enough not to be a problem when mounted on the mast spreader. Make sure you select the right mount or base for your application.
