I'm not happy it was left in the mailbox to melt, but it turned out that it then molded to my hand so nicely. I'm putting off the cmc basal joint surgery, so till then, IT IS JUST PERFECT!! I love it.!! not as much protection as my thumb cast but certainly less bulky, easier to wear and being black, it doesn't show the dirt, so I can wear it to restaurant when necessary, and its not hot under it. . I'll be getting another for my left hand. BTW, it came way before expected, very nicely packaged with a little cloth pouch with a drawstring. so happy with it!

I have CMC joint arthritis problem that is going to need surgery. This brace is really helping to buy me some time by limiting the amount of grinding and uncomfortable movement of the bones, so hopefully the problem won't worsen as fast and I can put off surgery a little longer. It is giving me a fair amount of relief from much of the joint movement pain, so I'm very happy!!

I ordered this brace for my mother, and although I haven't given it to her yet I DID try it on myself (we have the same size hands). It's an excellent fit. I noticed a couple reviews commenting on the sizing, so I actually posted a video that includes how I measured - which seems to have worked perfectly in our case.
A couple other notes: The velcro is interesting. At first it seemed a little on the weak side but then I realized, that makes sense for anyone struggling with joint pain! It comes with a replacement strap too, so I'm not too worried. The strap itself is very customizable (both ends are adjustable) so that's handy. And the actual brace is made of a tough plastic that seems supportive but also flexible. I noticed one reviewer had padded the inner section with moleskin - I may do the same for my mom just in case!
