Fun for occasional use not for someone serious about scanning negatives or slides
Jay F✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 21, 2024
It's a fun device to have. Easy to use. The first two pics are from 40 year old negatives the third is taken from 40 year old super 8 film! If you just have some old negatives, slides or film and you just want to see what's on them, this is an inexpensive choice, but I could not recommend it for a serious photographer who is trying to digitize negatives. Once you figure out how to use the various adapters it becomes relatively easy to use I used it for negatives, slides and Super8 film.

once i got the film back from the lab i needed a way to get it onto my SD card, this little product does the job, the pictures look good enough to not complain it does feel a bit cheap and uses an outdated usb hookup but that can be looked past because of this thing being on the cheaper side
Easy to use

The media could not be loaded. Opening slide trays is a bit hard to get open. Doing super 8mm can be done but is channelling. Probably go do better if I also used the super8mm film project to help keep reels from being all over the floor and have to hand wind them. Scans where good clean . Happy with the scanner.

Not too easy to do edits with machine.
Recommend saving image to SD card and then use computer to edit images.
Very easy to use, once you figure it out..

I found some old slides and wanted to digitize them. I took a chance on this device because of price and megapixels.. Once I figured out how to get in and out of the menus (the documentation wasn't great) the thing worked fine. My slides were all over 50 years old, so I can't really say how good the quality was since my source pictures were mediocre at best, but they look pretty good to me. Once I got in the groove as far as scanning, I was able to complete about 700 slides in about 3 hours, and that was with stopping every few dozen to copy them to the PC and clear my SD card since I had them in separate bunches and wanted to keep those groupings once on the PC. Honestly could have gone faster if I didn't want to keep them separate like this. Would definitely buy again.
