Super fast and love the finishing

Sadly, after four semesters with my $17 electric kettle from Target it finally bit the dust. I did not realize how much I relied on that thing until it was gone. After one day of not being able to make coffee or tea i immediately went on Amazon to find another one. This one is much better quality than the last one I had and works perfectly. I love the stainless steel look of this electric kettle because it looks great in my apartment and you can leave it out and it doesn't look like just another cheap dollar store appliance. It boils water incredibly fast and looks great while doing it. Also, if you or someone you know is going to be living in a dorm I would strongly suggest getting one. I used it during my first year of college and when you're living in a 10x10 room with another person space gets tight. With an electric kettle I was able to get water for coffee and tea, make oatmeal, and countess other things. Great product and you'll never go back to not having an electric kettle in your kitchen after owning one.
Great Kettle but not Super Fast

It has a nice sleek look and it does a great job of boiling water but I don't understand how people have reviewed that it boils really fast. That simply is not true unless people are perhaps boiling for a single cup or they are starting out with hot tap water in the first place. I would never use warm or hot water to start with since it is known to possibly contain lead and not recommended by the EPA. The risk is small but I just wouldn't do it.
It took 12min to boil a full pot with cold water. I am at high altitude (over 5,000 feet) which water actually boils faster at so if you are not, it will take even longer. Either way, I thought 12min was kind of long. It was faster than my kettle on the stove but only by 2 minutes. The reason that I purchased this kettle was because of the reviews that I read about how fast it was. It is a great kettle and definitely gets the job done"”just don't be fooled by how fast it works.

The primary REASON I chose this because in my older kettle the HEATING element was exposed (directly dipped in water) which over time causes particle buildup at bottom and therefore affects the taste.
On this one the element isn't exposed, it's just a metal plate at the bottom which is nice. It works really well, and heats up the water really quick I was amazed.
So far I am really enjoying this product. The metallic looks really go along with my other kitchen appliances.
Overall a good product, will highly recommend.

Perfect quality kettle! Is stainless still ,looks very stylish,large capacity and heats up fast. Once the water is boiled it will shut off by itself .looks very sturdy and the price is awesome!

The tea kettle arrived quickly it heats water well but there is a smell or taste inside of it I cannot get rid of we tried vinegar baking soda scrubbing it etc. etc. and it still produces a nasty smell and A weird taste had to send it back
