It's easy to use and has good sound. I wish it was a little stronger. It is light to handle but I hope it last a while it feels flimsy.

The ringer does not sound like the ringers on the phones I have had.

It's my landline phone...hard to find. Color is great. The lowest ring is too loud, even at 82 my hearing is still ok.
Other choices were too complex or so light-weight they would fall off the table. Most of the few choices had so
many negative reviews I was afraid to try them. This is a basic phone, well made, handsome and not too large.
I've only used this phone for less than a month; so I really hope it holds up. I know from bad experience that a
landline is the only thing safe in an emergency, but good phones to plug in are few & far between.

Looks vintage! And I tell the grandkids that it's my hotline to the President!! LOL (because its red)

I had almost forgotten how great a traditional, old-style is to use. I've had my fill of skinny cell phones and "modern" style phones with weird, awkward shapes. The handset is easy to balance on your should when taking notes and the number pad works very easy and positive. The phone has loudness controls for both the handset and the ringer. I turned both controls to their lowest setting and it works fine. Voice clarity on the handset is perfect. It does feel a bit strange to hear a telephone "ring" again after years of electronic tones. The phone might be a bit too foreign-looking for a young person who has never used an old style phone before, but for anyone older, this is the phone to have. Keep in mind this phone only does one thing. Namely, to talk on. There are no additional features like caller ID, call forwarding, messaging, etc. If you want those features you can always use the phone in conjunction with a separate answering machine or call blocker. That's what I did. I will be ordering more of these phones for the rest of my house. Life is good again.
